Recruiting Update - Xavier Lee

Daytona Beach Seabreeze QB Xavier Lee is one of the highest-rated quarterbacks still considering Ohio State, but right now, he is focused on the upcoming season. Duane Long caught up with him for the latest.

One of the uncommitted quarterbacks Ohio State is very interested in is Daytona Beach, FL star Xavier Lee. He didn't have a top five when asked, but there are three schools he is confident about.

"I'm not ready to narrow it down to five just yet, but I'm sure Ohio State, Florida State and Auburn would be in there," he said.

We may have to wait a while to find out Xavier's intentions though as he is focused primarily on football at this moment.

"(Making a decision) wouldn't happen until toward the end of football season. I just want to concentrate on playing football right now," he said.

Xavier plays QB for Seabreeze; he hasn't played defense since his freshman season.

"We have nine players back on offense. We went 11-2 last year and made the playoffs… The offense may have to carry the team for a while until the defense finds its legs."

It sounds like Xavier is thinking of holding off on visits until after the season as well.

"I might take a visit during the season, probably to Ohio State, but most likely I will put visits off until the end of the year," he said.

What about the night game against Washington on August 30?

"That would be nice, but it's a bit of a long drive and I don't want to take any official visits early," he said.

Xavier also has run track and played baseball at Seabreeze.
