Buford, GA standout RB Darius Walker has emerged as one of the most highly-recruited backs in the south. Last year, Walker (5-11, 200, 4.35) rushed for 1986 yards and 26 TDs for the two-time 2A state champions. Darius reports an offer from OSU, but they are just one of many.
"I have fifty offers," he said.
"All those schools have offered," he said.
Darius is looking for a good balance between academics and sports, and he's looking to major in either business or law.
"I keep going back and forth. I don't know which one I'm going to do, but it will be one of those two," he said.
So far, the only schools Darius has actually been on campus for are Georgia and Georgia Tech. He said he'll definitely wait until after the season to make a decision and probably won't take any visits until after the season. He also said that if a school brings in other backs in his class, it won't be a factor.
"As long as they're my age, I don't care," he said.
Darius has not played defense since he was a sophomore (he played SS) and doesn't see himself playing defense this year. His team is 30-0 over the last two years, and they have a big game coming up soon.
"Next week, everyone's excited because we're scrimmaging the three-time defending 5A champions (Parkview)," he said.
