COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five-star quarterback Tate Martell is already verbally committed to Ohio State, but he's still making sure to take his official visit to see his future team play one more time this season.
Martell, who stars for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, tweeted Wednesday that he plans to take his official visit to Columbus on Nov. 5, the same day the Buckeyes square off with Nebraska. While the biggest home game of the year is probably slated for late November against Michigan, Ohio State's matchup with the Cornhuskers is an 8 p.m. start and sure to be a popular visiting weekend for recruits.
Martell also tweeted that he'd like to visit for the Michigan game, but there would be a scheduling conflict with the Nevada state semifinals, and Bishop Gorman is certainly projected to make it at least that far in the playoffs.
The quarterback has visited Ohio State more than once and he worked out for the coaching staff at the Buckeyes' annual Friday Night Lights camp in July.
