WATCH: Ohio State Buckeyes Talk About Facing Chris Ash, Early Season Success

With a matchup against Chris Ash and Rutgers just days away, Ohio State coaches and players met with the media to discuss the Buckeyes' strong start to the season and the upcoming homecoming game at Ohio Stadium.

Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford go things starter with the media Monday, and he talked about the rapid improvement of Buckeye running back Mike Weber, who has impressed as a redshirt freshman this season:

Junior defensive end Tyquan Lewis talked about the adjustments the Ohio State defense has made ahead of facing Ash, who was the Buckeyes' co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach the last two seasons. He also touched on the impact Ash had during his time in Columbus.

Junior linebacker Chris Worley addressed Ash as well, and he talked about how the Buckeye defense reacts to interceptions. Ohio State has been stellar once the defense has the ball in its hands this season, with four touchdown returns off of picks already, which ties the program record.

Continuing with the theme of the day, junior quarterback J.T. Barrett talked about what it will be like to go up against Ash in a game after facing his defenses in practice for the past two years. The team captain also addressed the progression of the Ohio State offense, most notably with Curtis Samuel and Mike Weber in the backfield with Barrett.
