Jaiden Woodbey

Ohio State To Host "Junior Day" This Saturday

Even though Ohio State is still heavily involved in putting the final touches on their amazing 2017 recruiting class, the Buckeyes are still hosting several top underclassmen this weekend. Who will be on campus?

THE 2018 RECRUITS:

Jaiden Woodbey. The California defensive back has had Ohio State high on his list for the past year, and the teammate of Wyatt Davis is coming a long way this weekend with his parents. That means Commitment Watch, right? Not for me. Woodbey is this year's Game-Player from out West, and I'm expecting more than one commitment over the next year. Where do I think he will sign in another year? USC. After a lot of twists and turns and trolling.

C.J. Moore. I have no idea how much he favors Ohio State, but after seeing his film I know how much I'm favoring Moore. Really want and need to see them in person of course, but this kid just has The Look to me. He already has a great offer list, and coming all the way to Ohio has to mean something. I'm interested to see how this works out, and I would chase these types of guys and let 2017 projects like Johnson, Palmer and Gardiner mosey on down the road.

Brian Asamoah. I love this kid's game and think he has some Darron Lee in him. Or some Jerome Baker. He wants this offer badly, and while it might not come this weekend I do think he gets one eventually. To me, he fits in perfectly with what Greg Schiano wants to do defensively.

Jaelen Gill. Obviously I have him IN the class and have for quite some time now. He enjoys the recruiting process and I don't see a commitment coming soon, but it will come at some point. Great all around athlete.

Trenton Gillison. Another super looking Columbus kid, and another one waiting for an offer from Ohio State. They will take two tight ends next year and I think they have Jeremy Ruckert rated higher at this point. I would have Gillison ranked WAY above two of the three tight ends that are true freshmen right now, so I think he gets that offer if he stays patient. I believe he would commit on the spot if offered.

Leonard Taylor. Great athletic ability. Could project to either side of the football, but I think defensive end is his college position. Holds an Ohio State offer and decommitted from Michigan a while back. Am I 100% sold on this kid? Not really, but there's certainly a lot to like with this in-state prospect. I'm not certain that Ohio State is sold either.

THE 2019 RECRUITS:

Quinn Carroll. Great looking offensive tackle prospect out of Minnesota. Ohio State has not offered yet, but he has a great offer list.

Jowon Briggs. An in-state defensive lineman who holds an Ohio State offer. Very raw as a prospect, but has a world of potential at defensive tackle. Very high on this kid.

Zach Harrison. Quite possibly THE most impressive looking kid physically in the state of Ohio. Another Columbus area player, and the sky is the limit for this guy.

Cade Stover. A sleeper sophomore defensive end that is just now hitting the recruiting radar in Ohio. Has a chance to be offered at some point. Checks off a lot of boxes.

Moses Douglass. A great looking cornerback, and the son of Springfield head coach Moe Douglass. This kid has a ton of potential and I see him being offered at some point. Will add tons of offers.

Isaiah Gibson. Definitely a defensive tackle to keep an eye on at Springfield, and another prospect with a lot of potential. Already holds offers.
