Four star wide receiver prospect James Robinson took his official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Jan. 20, and according to Franklin Country police records, was cited on Jan. 21 near campus on a drug possession charge.
The Lakeland, Fla. native was charged with possession of marijuana according to a police report filed Jan. 23.
Robinson reportedly returned to Florida the following day, and is scheduled to appear in court back in Columbus on the morning of March 1.
Ohio State had made a late push to sign Robinson to its class after the decommitment of Tyjon Lindsey. Per a source, Robinson is no longer being considered by the Buckeyes and has had his offer pulled due to the incident on his visit.
Robinson is set to make his college decision on National Signing Day and will reportedly choose between Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma or Oregon with Ohio State out of the picture.
The news of Robinson's arrest was first reported by Eleven Warriors.
