OSU Commits Jeffrey Okudah And Shaun Wade Featured In Scout's Top CBs Highlight Video

Ohio State commits Jeffrey Okudah and Shaun Wade are featured in Scout's highlight video of the top-five cornerbacks of the 2017 college football recruiting class.

Scout has put together a highlight video of the top five cornerbacks in the 2017 recruiting class, two of whom are committed to OSU – five-star Jeffrey Okudah of Grand Prairie (Texas) South and four-star Shaun Wade of Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Fla.

Okudah (6-1, 190) committed to the Buckeyes on Jan. 7 during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, while Wade (6-2, 175) announced his pledge to OSU on Dec. 12, 2016.

Okudah is rated by Scout as the No. 2 prospect at his position and the No. 15 overall player in the 2017 class. Wade is the fifth-ranked corner and checks in at No. 55 in the overall rankings.

The two defensive backs are both early enrollees and are currently at the Ohio State campus participating in the team’s winter workouts while taking classes full time.

They help fill the void in the Ohio State defensive backfield that was created when corner Gareon Conley, safety Malik Hooker and corner Marshon Lattimore all declared for the NFL draft with at least one year of eligibility remaining.

Okudah and Wade are not alone, however, as corners Amir Riep, Kendall Sheffield and Marcus Williamson are also committed to Ohio State for the 2017 haul.

With National Signing Day just hours away, Ohio State’s recruiting class currently sits at 20.
