Amir Riep Traveled To Columbus Wednesday Morning To Hand Deliver His Letter Of Intent To The OSU Coaching Staff

Rather than send a fax of his Letter of Intent, Amir Riep decided to hand deliver it to the Ohio State coaching staff.

Instead of attending Cincinnati Colerain’s National Signing Day ceremony at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, Amir Riep decided to hand deliver his Letter of Intent to the Ohio State coaching staff.

“I was just trying to think of something new and something that hasn’t been done yet," the four-star product told Scout on Wednesday. "Me and my dad came up with the idea and went with the plan.”

Recruits normally send a fax of their letters to their respective college they are going to play for in the coming fall.

Though Riep (5-11, 183) missed Colerain's ceremony, he did make it back to Cincinnati in time for the Greater Miami Conference signing day event, which began at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Colerain is a member school of the GMC.

Riep is rated by Scout as the No. 99 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class and the 11th-highest cornerback. He committed to the Buckeyes on July 23, 2016.
