The NCAA announced Tuesday that the city of Columbus will host first and second round men's NCAA Tournament games in 2019 at Nationwide Arena on March 22 and March 24.
Columbus and Nationwide Arena are no stranger to hosting the Big Dance, as it hosted first and second round games in 2015 as well. Columbus is also set to host the 2018 Women's Final Four at Nationwide Arena on March 30 and April 1.
Columbus wasn't the only city in Ohio to receive bids to host future NCAA Tournament games. Dayton will continue to host the First Four games of the tournament through 2022 while Cleveland is set to host first and second round games in 2020 as is Cincinnati in 2022.
Ohio State would not be allowed to play at Nationwide Arena due to NCAA Tournament selection rules, but could play in Cleveland or Cincinnati if it received a favorable draw. The Buckeyes played at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland in the 2011 tournament as the No. 1 seed and defeated UTSA and George Mason in the first and second rounds respectively.
