Raekwon McMillan Drafted By Miami Dolphins In Second Round Of 2017 NFL Draft

Former Buckeye linebacker Raekwon McMillan is off the board.

Former Ohio State linebacker Raekwon McMillan has been selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft on April 28.

McMillan was named first-team All-Big Ten in 2016 as a junior. He was also named a second-team All-American by six organizations (Associated Press, Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated, The Sporting News, USA Today and Walter Camp) last fall. 

As a sophomore, McMillan was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the media and earned second-team All-American recognition on the Walter Camp ballot.

The Hinesville, Ga., native led Ohio State in tackles the past two seasons with 102 in 2016 and 119 in 2015. McMillan, a 2016 team captain, was a two-year starter and played in 40 total games as a Buckeye, starting 26 of them. For his career, he had 270 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, nine pass break-ups and one interception that he returned for a touchdown.
