Recruiting Update - Carlos Feliciano

We have a recruiting update on lineman Carlos Feliciano from Elizabeth, NJ, who is showing solid interest in Ohio State.

Carlos Feliciano of Elizabeth, NJ has emerged as one of the top line prospects on the East Coast. The 6-6, 295 pounder did not camp anywhere this summer, but he has 17 offers so far. Carlos has taken unofficial visits to Maryland and Virginia, but no official visits yet.

"I haven't set anything up," he said. "I'm not ready to set anything up, but the way it is looking, I will.

"We play most of our games the rest of the year on Saturday so I'll probably take my visits after the season."

Carlos, who also plays basketball and throws shot and discus, is listed as an OL but could go either way.

"I play tackle both ways," he said. "Some schools are recruiting me on defense, some on offense… about half and half."

LB coach Mark Snyder is recruiting him for Ohio State.

"It's a great program," he said. "They have great tradition. It just looks like a place I would like to be.

"I've seen the stadium on TV. It's huge. I've been to Maryland, and it's about 60 or 65,000 and Ohio State's another 40,000."

Right now, Carlos is sure of four schools on his list: Ohio State, Virginia, Maryland, and Iowa. He may be seeing all four of those schools in action very soon as he is looking at going to the Virginia/Maryland game down the line and also hopes to get to OSU for a game, possibly when they play Iowa.
