Recruiting Update - Frank Morton

We have the latest on fine Georgia DT Frank Morton, who plans to visit Ohio State.

Frank Morton of Southwest Dekalb HS in Decatur, GA has been instrumental in helping his team to success so far this year as they are tied for the #1 ranking in the region coming into week six. It might not be easy to keep that ranking though.

"This week we play the team we're tied with," he said.

Like many players, the 6-3, 278 pound Morton (4.9 40) has been busy with the season and hasn't gotten around to the visitation process yet.

"I haven't set up any visits yet, but I will visit Ohio State and Oklahoma State," he said.

Frank said he will set up visits after the season since sometimes his team plays on Saturdays, and he listed the other schools he is considering as Arkansas, Florida, and Maryland. He plays both ways, but he looks like a DT in college.

"I play offensive guard and tackle and I play defensive tackle. Most schools, including Ohio State, are recruiting me for defense," he said.

"Coach Spencer is recruiting me (for Ohio State)," he said.

What is it about Ohio State that he likes?

"Coach Spencer, being national champions, and then coming up and seeing the great facilities," he said.

Would the distance from home be an issue?

"It's not going to be a big deal because I've got family in Columbus and Cincinnati," he said.
