Florida star to commit to Ohio State

Riviera Beach, FL standout DaJuan Morgan took an official visit to Ohio State this weekend and decided that he wanted to play his college football at Ohio State.

The atmosphere in Columbus yesterday was exciting, and it convinced Riviera Beach (FL) Suncoast WR/DB DaJuan Morgan that it would be a good place to spend his college career.

We spoke to Morgan a short time ago, and Morgan said that he is waiting for Coach Conley to call him so he can make a commitment to Ohio State.

"Why wait around?" Morgan said. "This is where I know I want to be."

Ohio State was his first visit, and Morgan also had a visit scheduled with NC State and was reportedly also going to check out Florida and Oklahoma. The NC State visit was scheduled for December 5th, and he doesn't plan on taking the trip.

"I'm going to call them and let them know I'm going to cancel," he said.

Morgan stands at 6-2, 180 and has some impressive numbers, including a 35-inch vertical leap and a speedy 40 time.

"My best 40 time in front of my coach has been a 4.2," he said. "On any given day, I run a 4.3."

Morgan could play on either side of the ball for Ohio State.

"I'm coming in as a receiver, but I'm looking to play both ways like Chris Gamble," he said.

DaJuan scored an 810 on his SAT and will be taking the test again in January even though it won't be necessary.

"I don't need to because my core is okay," he said.
