Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:04:19 PM)
Has anyone out there seen Brandon Smith play?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:04:37 PM)
Can't say I have, is he from Euclid?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:04:41 PM)

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:05:02 PM)
I've read today he's visiting and has an offer.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:05:11 PM)
Saw him at camp and several games. Good looking kid.

kansasbuckeye (Dec 12, 2003 1:05:45 PM)
Where do you think Barret will be verbaling today?

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:06:00 PM)

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:06:05 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:06:09 PM)
wvu, i'm not sure if he ever even came up to OSU

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:07:19 PM)
steve, your thoughts on Davis? where? and why?

HunterdonBuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:08:00 PM)
Steve, Please tell me that Gary is skeptical on Mitchum without any info!!! We need this kid for the O-Line!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:08:08 PM)
47, I assume you mean Fred Davis (VBG). I still think at the end of the day, it's OSU. But USC is a serious threat.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:08:40 PM)
How good to you think our O-line will be next year?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:09:21 PM)
HunterdonBuck, I have no idea where Gary's skepticism came from. My impression all along has been that OSU is the school to beat.

HunterdonBuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:09:31 PM)
The next Buckeye verbal may be Brandon Smith, LB from Euclid-any info on him?

kansasbuckeye (Dec 12, 2003 1:10:14 PM)
Barret has not visited anywhere and said in the past that OSU is his childhood favorite and his big leader

mcorf (Dec 12, 2003 1:10:19 PM)
steve, any ol and rb recruits that will be pleasant surprises?

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:10:19 PM)
steve, i'm sorry I did not see your response on Davis my computer shut down.

HunterdonBuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:10:36 PM)
Steve, I was surprised Gary was skeptical about Mitchumand hoped it was just a "gut" thing-hate to lose him to TSUN.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:10:44 PM)
Tweener, well, it can't be much worse than we saw this past year. If you want to read a scathing review, go to the premium board and read that Bollman thread. But it will be young and inexperienced. Not a good combo.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:11:51 PM)
HunterdonBuck, I have not seen Smith play. Saw him at camp and at several games. Passes look test at 6-3, 220. Would be a good addition, I believe. Could be versatile enough to play several positions by the time he is done.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:12:25 PM)
mccorf, OL or RB surprises? I think Haw should do well at OSU. Maybe Skinner as a PA kid will be a good get on the OL.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:12:35 PM)
I read an article where Smith said he thought he'd grow into a D-lineman. We are deep at LB.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:12:52 PM)
steve, great job on all of the reviews this week and last! davis, lock or not?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:12:56 PM)
47, I think Davis ends up at OSU, but USC is a major threat. Stay tuned until you hear the kid say it.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:13:06 PM)

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:13:39 PM)
is your opinion on barrett a gut feeling are educated opinion?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:13:41 PM)
Any chance we open up the offense against KSU considering the success we had throwing the ball at scUM?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:13:41 PM)
47, thanks for the kind words.

mcorf (Dec 12, 2003 1:14:09 PM)
do we get mitchum, claude, hart,or any other big time ol?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:14:24 PM)
47, barrett hard to get a hold of last word I had from W.Va. was he was staying home.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:14:50 PM)
Tweener, I suppose they may try and come out throwing. Will have to because K-State is pretty stingy against the run (ask the Huskers).

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:15:34 PM)
mccorf, well Hart left here loving OSU and 3 days later favors Auburn. Claude may not visit OSU now. Mitchum, they have as good as shot at him as anybody does.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:15:53 PM)
do you think osu will rebound against the run for ksu? are do you see ksu doing what scUM did against osu?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:16:24 PM)
Sproles is scary good. I fear screens even more than just simple run plays.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:16:42 PM)
47, no, certainly not. OSU should do a better job against KSU and Sproles. Make no mistake, he is a big timer. You don't lead the nation in yards by accident. But he isn't torching them for 200, either.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:17:13 PM)
good point tweener! berry is also a great wr. gamble better be ready!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:17:17 PM)
tweener, I agree, Sproles had 200-plus rushing and 63 receiving against the Oklahoma Sooners. Wow. (or is it woe? or whoa?)

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:17:27 PM)
All three I think!

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:18:10 PM)
wow or whoa are good

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:18:19 PM)
I'm not real happy with our corner situation. Other than Ginn do you think we need another corner in this class? I do.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:18:56 PM)
steve, alot has been said about geiger being a hurdle for osu and taking a cahance on kids with academic issues. is there any validaty to this?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:18:58 PM)
Corners and DEs that can rush the passer are always a premium. Take all of them who you think can play that you can get.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:19:32 PM)
Tweener, I think some of the problem at CB would be alleviated if E.J. Underwood comes back strong. This was a lost year for him.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:20:13 PM)
I hope we have a chance with Lambert. It was nice to see he is visiting in January.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:20:19 PM)
D. Morgan is on lemmings list to watch a corner. I think that is also a good pickup at corner

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:21:10 PM)
Good point about Morgan. He could play on either side of the ball. Gotta like that versatility

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:21:20 PM)
Take this FWIW, but a recruiting guy on one of Floridas boards said Morgan was hurt worse than he has let oin. But he also said Florida had like a dozen Silent verbels including Xavier Lee (whom has recently dropped florida)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:21:43 PM)
47, yes, after the washout of 99, when 6 guys were ineligible (Hall from Cinti, Walker, harris and 3 others), Geiger clamped down and said to Coop and later JT, in effect, we will pre-screen your scholarship offers for academics. And yo u may have 1-2 guys who are "borderline" each year. That is an absolute fact. I can not tell you if those standards stopped them from getting Pierre Woods or whoever the other guy was that was brought up, specifically, but I do not have a problem with it. Guys who aren't eligible can't really help you until their third year.

BuckeyeJoe (Dec 12, 2003 1:22:08 PM)
Who will Barrett choose?

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:22:41 PM)
fitzgerald was the other one I would have loved to wait a year for his service!

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:22:43 PM)
No, I actually live in Zanesville. It's less than an hour away.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:22:46 PM)
Joe, looks like WVU

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:23:24 PM)
47, I don't know what happened with Fitzgerald. He went somewhere to a prep school (may have been in Pa. I believe). Maybe that had a factor in the decision.

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:23:31 PM)
Whats our starting OL looking like for next season?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:24:42 PM)
Barton, Sims, Mangold, Kne and Schafer.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:24:51 PM)
Just a guess

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:24:54 PM)
I STILL disagree abotu Schafer

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:24:57 PM)

BuckeyeJoe (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:03 PM)
Does clarret have any way to play College ball next year if not at OSU?

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:12 PM)
He had a complete waste of a year and a half

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:14 PM)
bellevuebuck, I think a lot of that will be decided here in Dec. and in April. Obviously, Mangold at C and Sims at LT. Then from there, Kne has to be penciled in somewhere. He is so versatile he could play any of the other positions. Olds is an upperclassman who could get a look at guard, but he has never stayed healthy. After that, you could see Barton, Datish, Downing, Coleman and Schafer battle it out for the other spot.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:23 PM)
tweener, sounds like slow, fat, decent,o.k, and real slow

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:43 PM)
Hey, they aren't my recruits!

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:25:53 PM)
Although I am not as down on them as you

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:26:23 PM)
just being honest! not getting down on you, you make good points champ!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:26:26 PM)
Joe, we went through this before the season on Clarett. Maybe if he gains his eligibility and transfers down, he can play. Can't play 1-A, though.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:26:54 PM)
that was for you tweener

kansasbuckeye (Dec 12, 2003 1:28:49 PM)
ok back

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:28:51 PM)
I would rather see growing pains with a bunch of redshirt freshmen and freshmen playing on the OL than seeing a bunch of guys that couldn't replace the screen doors we have now.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:29:11 PM)
Will Reynolds start at the Mike for the Fiesta Bowl?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:29:54 PM)
I thought Olds played pretty well when healthy last year. Schafer is new. Barton almost had the redshirt removed he looked so good.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:30:20 PM)
they have 9 months to get the OL straightened out. I think they'll be OK. Thing you have to remember is the teams they play will be rebuilding on their DLs, for the most part, too,

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:30:28 PM)
Datish still has a chance to be a good one although it's taking him longer than many suspected.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:30:48 PM)
Hey steve, I have been hearing a lot about many recruits during down OSU right now, is that true?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:31:05 PM)
Tweener, haven't heard about Reynolds at MLB. I suppose it is possible. Probably still go with Hawk, Pagac and Reynolds if everybody is healthy

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:31:46 PM)
t-val, please repeat your question, you are missing a word or something there. Thanks

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:31:52 PM)
hawk, reynolds, carpenter sounds better!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:32:05 PM)
47, I'll go with that suggestion

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:32:42 PM)
plus next year we get schnegel and kerr

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:33:00 PM)
yep, the LBs should be a strength

BuckeyeJoe (Dec 12, 2003 1:33:20 PM)
With the propensity of Tressel to stick with his seniors, maybe we will be surprised at how good the underclassmen are. I still can't believe we suffered thru Belesari!

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:33:36 PM)
does that mean we'll see D'Andrea move to DE this spring if healthy?

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:33:36 PM)
next year, hawk, carpenter, freeman or hawk, schlegel, carpenter, or hawk, kerr, carpenteror on and on and on this is a great decision to have to make!

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:33:44 PM)
steve, I heard that many recruits like Darius Walker, Leon Hart, and Xavier Lee have turned us down and nobody is signing. Whats going on?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:34:04 PM)
I have visions of Pagac chasing down Sproles and it ain't pretty...

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:34:10 PM)
bellevuebuck, I don't look for D'Andrea to move. Now if he could get 2 years back, that would be great.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:35:21 PM)
t-val, relax, it is early. They are in on a lot of good to great players. They will still get their share. It is weird that Hart and Lee came to OSU, raved about it, then both listed Auburn as a favorite. But it is a marathon and not a sprint. Let's see where things are at in Feb.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:35:37 PM)
Auburn = payday

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:36:04 PM)
great point tweener. that escalade is looking good to a 18 yr old kid!

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:37:01 PM)
where do we stand on Fred Davis and Ted Ginn Jr. Im not so sure of are chances of either of them and Ginn missed a chat with ESPN he was supposed to coem to so i dotn know how reliable he is

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:37:11 PM)
that has been the obvious inference, but just give Auburn credit. They timed their visits to these kids perfectly to negate OSU's advantage.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:37:20 PM)
First McClover, now Lee and Hart. If Ginn or Davis visits Auburn I think I'll be sick...

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:37:29 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:38:34 PM)
t-val, I think Davis may be torn between OSU and USC, in all honesty. At the end of the day, he still ends up at OSU, though. Somebody posted an archive of Ginn's responses to the Lemming Chat, so I think he made it. I think he's OSU somewhere in the 90 percent range, maybe higher.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:39:07 PM)
ginn did show up. he was all about osu

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:39:35 PM)
47, the OSU fans were working him hard, weren't they?

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:39:37 PM)
oh, because when i left, and the chat was supposed to be over, he wasn there

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:40:28 PM)
Yeah they were working him hard. Ginn had nice things to say about tsun.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:40:29 PM)
steve, do you think that we will manage to land Kyle Mitchum

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:40:30 PM)
yup, hey said he had all his academics taken care of, so t-val don't worry ginn looks good in scarlet and grey!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:41:04 PM)
t-val, I think Mitchum ends up at OSU (58 percent) to UM (42 percent). Iowa is the dark horse, IMHO.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:41:31 PM)
Mitchum would be a great get! His video is very impressive. I like the fact we are rolling out the red carpet for him this weekend.

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:41:32 PM)
nice percentiles Steve ;)

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:41:53 PM)
must have minored in math

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:42:27 PM)
No, Polit Sc.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:42:55 PM)
Does Roberson's passing ability scare you?

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:43:09 PM)
me too steve, I think tressel should have he would look good in the state house!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:43:49 PM)
yes, because he stays alive so well. You can't just come after him because he is so elusive and slippery. The kid can play. He isn't going to throw for 400, but you know between running and passing he is almost assured of 225-275.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:43:50 PM)
roberson lost his arm along time ago, he just has legs, and alot of them

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:44:22 PM)
Do we get the QB that commited early to the other OSU?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:44:35 PM)
I sure hope the scUM performance was just a glich on the radar screen. They will need to play well to contain Roberson or Sproles.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:44:43 PM)
47, he completed 10 balls for over 200 against OU, that's over 20 yards a catch, unheard of. He's doing something right.

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:44:43 PM)
I think Bellevue means Reid

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:03 PM)

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:09 PM)
Sproles on the screen had something to do with that average.

buckeyefan47 (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:12 PM)
his reciever's ran for 16 of those yards he didn't throw for them

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:12 PM)
bellevuebuck, Reid is a long shot, I would think. He has verbaled to Okie State. OSU would really have to wow him.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:40 PM)
i'll grant you that, but it all adds up.

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:45:43 PM)
But we are his only other visit and it is late I think that is a good sign

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:46:10 PM)
Hubbard, maybe, but I still say long shot. He can't really come here and play next year (or can he?). Hmmm.

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:46:37 PM)
Yeah I agree

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:47:12 PM)
hey steve, do you actually get to talk to a lot of the OSY recruits?

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:47:18 PM)

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:47:29 PM)
lose that asterisk!

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:47:36 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:47:51 PM)
t-val, yes, between Duane, Gary, Charles and myself, we will call roughly 25-30 recruits this weekend to see how visits here and elsewhere went.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:48:04 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:48:12 PM)
that was a slip

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:48:33 PM)
steve, have you ever talked to brandon smith from euclid, I heard OSU might be recruiting him

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 1:48:36 PM)
MoC back in the news today. Lawyers making their case for early entry. Judge to rule by Feb. 1

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:01 PM)
t-val, no, have not talked to Smith personally, seen him at camp and games, looks real good standing there.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:20 PM)
do you think he is much of a player?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:28 PM)
have not seen him play, can

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:32 PM)
''t say

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:44 PM)
I couldn't find him in my OFS.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:49:50 PM)
I would assume so if they are offering him. They worked with him in camp.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:50:08 PM)
oh, do you go to a lot of high school games, who have u seen play?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:50:13 PM)
If we don't sign a punter who is going to punt for us next year?

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:50:39 PM)
brandon smith punts to(Hes not very good though, lol)

spuds51 (Dec 12, 2003 1:50:55 PM)
Steve; who is the best O-lineman out there that OSU has a chance to land?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:50:58 PM)
Tweener, Duane didn't have him in the top 60 of the Ohio High senior list, due out soon.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:51:24 PM)
t-val, I watch mostly film. Friday night is family night with OSU games on Sat. and work most of day on Sun.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:51:40 PM)
Gotta have family night!

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:51:41 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:51:42 PM)
Tweener, either Nugent, Pierce or Huston, I guess.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:00 PM)
spuds51, Mitchum, I believe.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:10 PM)
what is going on with Louis Holmes and is he much of a player?

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:25 PM)
I saw Huston at practice this summer. I hope Nugent or Pierce wins that job. Maybe it's unfair because he was kicking with Sander and that guy was booming them all afternoon!

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:33 PM)
t-val, guys I've seen on tape that I like would be Ginn, Massey, Jamario O

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:41 PM)
How about we improve on our 3rd down conversion rate next season and punt less.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:52:49 PM)
'Neal, Alex Boone. Those are some. I need to see more.

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:53:07 PM)
bellevue, in a perfect world....

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 1:53:24 PM)
Steve, is there still a chance Braxton comes aboard? Why is there such descrepency on his ability. The experts all seem pretty high on him and yet there is no offer from tOSU

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:53:27 PM)
t-val, Holmes is supposed to be a great athlete for a big man. I think he ends up here if they offer him on the trip.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:53:44 PM)

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:54:14 PM)
sorry to throw in a qucik basketball question but, do you think we will get Maliek Hairston

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 1:54:21 PM)
Braxton has an OSU offer

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:54:32 PM)
buckmark, he didn't engage fully as a senior (i.e. didn't play well, maybe his heart isn't into it, I don't know). Gary keeps saying, I think, the kid would rather play basketball. That tells you just about everything you need to know. With that body, he should be a first-round NFL draft choice in 3 years.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:54:54 PM)
Yes, he has an offer, but will he even visit? Are they still calling?

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:55:21 PM)
What do you hear about the Nebraska position and Walt Harris?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:55:39 PM)
t-val, tough question. I like to think the best of O'Brien and his posse. But they seem to have kind of a mess on their hands right now with this team. Wouldn't surprise me if he stayed home at Michigan.

bellevuebuck, Nebraska search has been pretty quiet. I wonder if we might know something right after Xmas.

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 1:56:37 PM)
I saw Tim May say that Dantonio has had a conversation with UC, but no interview yet. What's your take here Steve?

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 1:56:54 PM)
Braxton might be another Alonzo Spellman, built like Tarzan and play like Jane

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 1:57:32 PM)
steve, do you think with Jenkins gone, Ohio state will still manage to be a lot better at receiver than this year?

Hubbard (Dec 12, 2003 1:57:41 PM)
Barret to WVU

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:59:03 PM)
buckmark, well it is Cincinnati, which isn't even a big deal in Cincinnati. Having said that, with them going to the Big East -- provided the conference keeps its BCS spot, which I think they will -- it is a plum job. He's probably making $200,000 here and would be with Tressel as long as he wants, likely. I heard they could pay $500,000 probably for a 5-year deal initially. The potential is there to be the next Pittsburgh (without the NFL stadium to share). If he was ready to take the leap, that is certainly better than an MAC school and as good a place as any. You can win 8-9 games a year there.

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 1:59:20 PM)
I always considered Barret a long shot. We are pretty deep at reciever and DB and early PT is not likely

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 1:59:28 PM)
bellevue, exactly!

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 2:01:12 PM)
is Rory nicol and Darius Walker long shots for OSU

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 2:01:42 PM)
Steve, do you feel we use all the available ships this year or limit it some to help with balance of the classes

Tweener (Dec 12, 2003 2:02:18 PM)
Walker hasn't been mentioning us lately...not looking good. Nicol would be a nice pickup and seemed to enjoy his visit and compared himself to Hartsock.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:03:50 PM)
Hey guys, I got booted. Last question was about the WRs. Not sure how they will be much better. They have Holmes and Hall and Childress and that's about it, Maybe Gamble will br right again and lend a hand. They also have Jordan, Gonzalez, Hiley, Miles Williams and I think Hollins is back, too. Maybe they'll have Davis as well.

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:04:10 PM)
It is 2 p.m. here in the East and I have got to run. Any last blasts?

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 2:04:14 PM)
Does Geiger schedule a 12th game next year to increase the revenue or do they keep the open date

OTC (Dec 12, 2003 2:04:24 PM)
when are you shipping out the high school mag?

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 2:04:32 PM)
will chris gamble bolt tot he nfl, i ehard hes the best corner in the nation

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:04:59 PM)
bellevuebuck, the 12th game was only for last 2 years. Everybody goes back to 11 next year (until they all unite and say "you know, we made much more many the years it was 12." and make that permanent).

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 2:05:05 PM)
Do we use all the ships or try to balance the classes?

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:05:52 PM)
OTC, we just approved the last draft. I imagine they are printing today or Monday. Probably be where you're at within 2 weeks if all goes well. These things take time, unfortunately, but this will be worth it, trust me.

OTC (Dec 12, 2003 2:06:10 PM)
good deal

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:06:17 PM)
t-val, yes, I think Gamble leaves. Strike when the iron is hot. Why risk injury here when you can be paid well for your services.

t-val (Dec 12, 2003 2:06:27 PM)

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:06:38 PM)
buckmark, they will take right up to the limit, maybe leave 1-2 on table, but no more than that.

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 2:06:47 PM)
Dustin Fox! corner or safety next year

SteveHelwagen (Dec 12, 2003 2:07:25 PM)
bellevuebuck, probably corner, especially if Gamble leaves. That's what it depends on. You have 4 great safety prospects with Salley, Mitchell, Everett and Whitner.

bellevuebuck (Dec 12, 2003 2:08:27 PM)
thanks for all the 411 Steve

buckmark (Dec 12, 2003 2:08:54 PM)
Thanks Steve!!
