Recruiting Updates - Junior DBs

Ohio will be very strong in the DB category next year. We have updates on a couple players who will be highly recruited.

The state of Ohio will be very strong in the defensive back category next year, and two of the top defensive backs to watch are Dayton Chaminade-Julienne's Brandon Harrison and Hamilton's Adam Myers.

Harrison is 5-10, 190, and reports a 4.3 40. He lists an offer from Iowa already and says Ohio State, West Virginia, Penn State, Pitt, UCLA, Colorado are all recruiting him now.

"Every school in the Big Ten, every school in the Big 12, and some ACC schools," he said.

Harrison went to the Nike camp and to the Ohio State camp. He ran a 4.36 and a 4.29 at Ohio State. He said he has been to the national combine and the Hawaii combine.

Brandon will be looking to visit schools in the summer in August or September. He wants to commit before his senior year. He's listing his top schools as Iowa, Ohio State, Pitt, West Virginia, and Penn State. He's looking to stay in the region.

In track, he ran a 10.6 as a sophomore. He wants to major in law.

Adam Myers stands in at 6-4, 188 and reports a 4.5 40.  His only camp was Ohio State, and this year, he played running back and played safety. Some of the schools recruiting him are Ohio State, Colorado, Syracuse, Penn State, and Iowa, but it's way too early to expect any favorites from him.

"I am clueless about where I want to go," he said. "I haven't been anywhere yet. I don't know what I want to do."

Adam had four interceptions this year and was second in the league in tackles. When away from football, Adam said he enjoys "playing basketball. Football's always been my first sport. I played baseball until I was thirteen."

He plays the 3 and the 2 in basketball this year. "We were really young last year. We only lost two seniors. We should be good," he said.
