Pittsburgh Woodland Hills wide receiver/defensive back Devon Lyons told today he has made a slight change to his final group of three schools.

A week ago, Lyons had replaced Michigan with Michigan State. But a week later, he has flipped those two schools again. Lyons said he still plans to announce his choice Feb. 2 with Ohio State, Miami (Fla.) and Michigan all in the running. He also made official visits to MSU and Notre Dame.

"I am definitely going to use this whole week to sort it out," said Lyons, who confirmed he has not made a final decision yet.

Lyons said the latest change in his final three was precipitated after Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr made an in-home visit.

"We had a good visit," Lyons said. "I have some friends there, I like their system and it's a big-time team."

Lyons said coaches from all five of the schools he visited traveled to Pittsburgh to see him this past week, including OSU assistant Joe Daniels.

Lyons (6-2 1/2, 204, 4.47) welcomed in Miami coach Larry Coker for an in-home visit Jan. 15 . OSU coach Jim Tressel made his in-home visit in December.

When asked how he was basing his decision, Lyons said, "There are a lot of things. There's academics and education opportunities, a chance to play right away, the chance to be in a bowl game and also the ability to have my parents at several games."

Lyons was a fine two-way player for Woodland Hills this season. Offensively, he had 23 catches and scored 14 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 52 tackles and four interceptions after tallying five picks as a junior.

He is rated as the nation's No. 16 safety prospect and as Pennsylvania's 11th-best prospect overall by
