BuckeyeDave (Jan 23, 2004 1:15:03 PM)
Dennis - How do you deal with all the calls from all thise coaches and fans , trying to get you to go to their school? does the phone ever stop ringing?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:15:49 PM)
I kinda enjoy it

bellevuebuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:16:17 PM)
Its nice to see a young man with talent that wants to be a buckeye. What did coach Tressel say about a spot for you on this years team?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:17:29 PM)
I have every chance to come in and play

Susan (Jan 23, 2004 1:18:08 PM)
Hi Dennis. Can you tell us one or two things that impressed you the most about the Ohio State football program when you were on your visits? Thanks for stopping by to chat with us.

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:19:52 PM)
Everything! Besides everybody being nice, the people around osu were great too. It felt like home hanging out with the guys from fla.

96Buckeye (Jan 23, 2004 1:20:17 PM)
Hi Dennis, with your high level of talent, does it frustrate you or motivate you to see the recruiting 'experts' label you as a 2 star prospect? Does it put a chip on your shoulder to prove them all wrong?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:21:57 PM)
Where ever you go people will label you so, it doesn't bother me at all. I just give 100%.

bellybuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:22:27 PM)
Hi Dennis- Tell us a little bit about the type of player you are and what position do you think you will play in college.

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:24:22 PM)
In high school I've played RB, LB, and DB. But I plan to play RB in college unless the coach sees the need for me to something else.

SteveHelwagen (Jan 23, 2004 1:24:58 PM)
Dennis, Steve Helwagen from Bucknuts here, thanks again for joining us. Playing in the Fort Lauderdale area, I know you probably face some tough competition. Who are some of the players you've seen and played against. OSU is also recruiting Anthony Reddick from Aquinas, Albert Dukes from Glades Central and Willie Young from Palm Beach Gardens. Did you see any of them?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:26:39 PM)
I've played with and against Anthony Reddick. Matter of fact he's my best friend.

Oh8ch (Jan 23, 2004 1:26:52 PM)
What are the chance you and Reddick go to the same school?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:28:54 PM)
At first me and Anthony had plans to go to Miami. But now OSU is my favorite and Anthony is unsure.

goofy (Jan 23, 2004 1:29:08 PM)
Dennis, have you received an offer from Ohio State?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:30:24 PM)
I'll see Saturday night. Right now I can just hope for the best.

HunterdonBuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:30:43 PM)
DK, Can you compare yourself to Bobby Washington, G. Shavers and other Miami area backs?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:32:24 PM)
Yes, I've thrive to be the best so I can compare myself to those guys.

hondo (Jan 23, 2004 1:32:40 PM)
Dennis, has Coach Conley told you what the hold up is on the offer?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:33:51 PM)
No, he just told everything looks good and he will give me a definite answer Saturday.

HelpingHand (Jan 23, 2004 1:34:04 PM)
Do you think if you come to Ohio Sate, Anthony would also come to Ohio State?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:35:08 PM)
I've talked to Anthony about that last night. I'm trying.

LloydSev (Jan 23, 2004 1:35:29 PM)
Dennis, what kind of an impact do you see yourself making in college football? Instant?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:37:20 PM)
If everything goes to plan, I want to play right away. But I do understand this is a business.

bearcatbuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:37:37 PM)
hi dennis, just curious about your current football vitals, height, weight and forty yard time?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:38:20 PM)
5'11 195 4.4

bellybuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:38:47 PM)
Dennis-who is your favorite team to watch on tv and who is your favortie coach in college?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:40:29 PM)
Growing up in Florida I like FSU. I like to see Tressel walk around in that vest.

BuckeyeDave (Jan 23, 2004 1:41:13 PM)
Steve & Dennis - My nephew is a high school sophomore (QB). What kind of advice/strategy can you suggest for him to get his name in front of D1-A coaches? How can he get them to take a look? What worked for you? Thanks.

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:44:11 PM)
Most importantly is ACADEMICS. Then patience. My junior season wasn't as high as others but I was patient . Also, camps can help.

buckmark (Jan 23, 2004 1:44:58 PM)
Dennis, I've heard that some are recruiting you as a DB...what has Coach Conley told you about how you may be used in Columbus?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:46:37 PM)
All I've been hearing is RB. But I'm no stranger to DB.

BuckinNC (Jan 23, 2004 1:47:04 PM)
Dennis, Just joining the chat so I may have missed this already but I am curious to hear how your visit went with Coach Tressel?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:48:25 PM)
If I'm offered tomorrow, I will commit then. If not I'll wait to signing day.

hondo (Jan 23, 2004 1:49:33 PM)
Dennis - What was the reason you became interested in Ohio State?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:51:27 PM)
At the end of my junior year OSU was the first to talk to me. Plus, Coach Conley was wearing the national championship ring.

DragonKnight (Jan 23, 2004 1:51:37 PM)
Has Miami recruited you?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:52:41 PM)
Yes, they were one of my early favorites.

NapervilleBuck (Jan 23, 2004 1:52:47 PM)
I'm a little late to the party.....and if this has already been asked, sorry. Dennis, what would you consider to be your biggest strength as a running back? Your most glaring weakness, if any? Thanks!!

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:55:02 PM)
My biggest strength as a RB to me is I seem to always break that first tackle.

edbuck51 (Jan 23, 2004 1:56:35 PM)
Hey Dennis. Who are the best three players you've played against in Florida?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 1:58:03 PM)
Anthony Reddick, Vernon Smith, Chris Shula

SteveHelwagen (Jan 23, 2004 1:58:27 PM)
Dennis, what do you know about the RB situation at OSU? For instance, it seems to be wide open after this coming season, and maybe even this year if Clarett is unable to return. What have the coaches said?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 2:02:03 PM)
I've heard Clarett has been reinstated. Plus, Hall and Ross to be seniors. Leaves me chance to come in and play. So I can just say I'm up for the challenge.

sears3820 (Jan 23, 2004 2:02:29 PM)
What do you plan on studying in college?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 2:03:36 PM)
I plan on taking Sports Management or Pre Law.

dartos (Jan 23, 2004 2:03:48 PM)
Dennis... Could you tell us a little of about what you talk about with Coach Conley on phone? Is it all football or "how has your day been?" Thanks

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 2:05:35 PM)
It's been about football, academics, and getting me up there.

HunterdonBuck (Jan 23, 2004 2:05:53 PM)
Dennis, Did Miami offer you a 'ship? Could you share with us who has thus far?

DennisKennedy (Jan 23, 2004 2:07:09 PM)
No Miami hasn't. WakeForest, Rutgers, Central Florida

C'ville Buck (Jan 23, 2004 2:08:27 PM)
