Defensive tackle Nader Abdallah has made his decision and will announce it Wednesday at 3 p.m. CST during an ESPN.com chat.
Abdallah (6-5, 300) was visited by Jim Tressel on Monday.
"I had a great time just hanging out with him," Abdallah said. "He pretty much stayed the whole day with me. He was here from about 1-9."
Tressel talked a little bit about football, but not much.
"Yeah, he pretty much talked about things besides football," Abdallah said. "My life and opportunities I have in life. He's a great man."
Playing as a true freshman is a priority for Abdallah. One of the reasons he is considering OSU is the fact that the Buckeyes are losing three starting D-linemen.
"Yes, I would like to play my first year," Abdallah said. "(Redshirting) is never going to be my intention unless something happens. I want to go in there and compete for the job."
Tennessee also has some holes to fill on its D-line.
"Yeah, they do," Abdallah said. "They're pretty much the same (as Ohio State). There are opportunities there too."
Finally, Abdallah was asked why a southern boy was considering Ohio State so strongly.
"They're a great football program, great coaches and a great city," he said. "Columbus is booming right now and creating a lot of job opportunities in that city. It's a growing city.
"They'll be competing for the national championship every year. They're the No. 1 public university in my eyes and they have a lot of great things to offer… So does Tennessee too."
It sure looks good from OSU's perspective. We'll find out for sure tomorrow.
