Harding's Cirroni Among Players At Junior Day

Warren (Ohio) Harding offensive lineman Rocco Cirroni shares his impressions after attending OSU's Junior Day last Saturday.

Warren (Ohio) Harding junior offensive lineman Rocco Cirroni attended Ohio State's Junior Day this past weekend.

"No, this was not the first time I have been down to Ohio State," Cirroni said. "I was down for the Purdue game.

"It went well. I got to meet Coach Tressel and Coach Bollman. I was impressed."

Ohio State has not offered Cirroni yet. But OSU is among a group of schools that have been keeping in contact with him.

"I have been getting attention from Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Virginia and Boston College," Cirroni said. "There is no pecking order yet.

"I have been up to Michigan. My basketball coach got me up there for the Ohio State-Michigan game.

"I am not committing early. I want to take the opportunity to see as much as I possibly can. I want to make sure I am doing what is best for me."

Cirroni discussed his physical dimensions.

"I am 6-7 and 235 pounds right now," he said. "We just had our measurements taken. I am disappointed in my weight. basketball is taking its toll.

"There is some information out there that is not correct. I have been playing football all along. I was not out for the first time last year."

Cirroni's schedule this fall will make it hard for him to attend a lot of games.

"I want to come down for games this year and to take visits during the season but it is going to be difficult," he said. "We have six Saturday games out of our nine scheduled games so far. We are still looking for a 10th game. I was going to do alot of visiting but it looks like I will have no more than four open Saturdays during the season."
