Lamb Chat: March 1 Archive

On the first day of March it was fitting that Bucknuts.com's Kyle Lamb conducted a Chat for OSU men's basketball fans. Check out the Hoops Forum for updates on future Chat sessions. Click this free link for the archive from Monday's Chat, including plenty of questions on Malik Hairston.

Here is the archive of Monday's special Chat session hosted by Bucknuts.com's Kyle Lamb on Ohio State men's basketball.

(NOTE: This was an unmonitored Chat in the free Chat room and no effort has been made to connect questions and answers.)

It appears the landscape of debate is the same as it was back in August and September. Hard to believe six months have passed with so many new twists and turns, but yet it all comes down to what we speculated about this fall. Who says you can't go home again?

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:37:20 PM)
OK what does the above mean?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:37:36 PM)
it may make sense in a bit :)

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:37:51 PM)
I will throw it out.. Buck.. give us the latest on Mailk..

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:38:12 PM)
okay, just a few here, ill give people a few more minutes to get here

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 9:38:17 PM)
My guess is that we are where we were 6 months ago in regards to Malik. Is that it?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:38:45 PM)
yeah basically logic

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:38:51 PM)
MH to scum

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:39:09 PM)
i'm gonna give ppl about 4 more minutes

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:39:24 PM)
Who says you can't go home again?

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:39:55 PM)
I don't know.. the UCLA rumors seem to be gaining steam..

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:40:01 PM)
sorry about that. accidently clicked off

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 9:40:45 PM)
Are there any jrs we lead for that are reason to get excited?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:41:17 PM)
Jamelle Cornley would probably commit on the spot when we offered

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:41:59 PM)
Where does Raymond fit in with the team

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 9:42:11 PM)
Do you feel he could be a double-digit rebounder at the Big 10 level?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:42:12 PM)
Ben

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:42:47 PM)
Ok.. it's 9:40... let's chat!

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:42:50 PM)
Alright gentlemen, i'm sure there's more people coming, but we'll go ahead and get started

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:43:15 PM)
Basically we'll just go through and you can ask me general recruiting questions, or the obvious malik questions,

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:43:26 PM)
Malik.. please.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:43:30 PM)
just keep the chat to a minimum during that time so you dont confuse my poor brain :)

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:43:44 PM)
So has MH said when he will announce?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:43:49 PM)
well, let me first address these Malik rumors before anything

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:44:05 PM)
as you all know, the Malik-to-UCLA rumor is in full swing

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:44:23 PM)
this rumor actually started about two weeks ago, so all of the steam it's picking up in the press is just well behind

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:44:45 PM)
right now, Malik has been telling a few folks he's leaning to UCLA,

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:01 PM)
that sucks

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:05 PM)
however, he's apparently been going back and fourth between UCLA, Ohio State, and Kansas for quite some time

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:12 PM)
how much better will this team be next season?

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:15 PM)
Well, as long as it isn't Michigan!

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:19 PM)
so this is not really anything to be terribly concerned about

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:25 PM)
yet anyways

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:41 PM)
My post today about us being no further along today than 6 months ago, has to do with Lik

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:45:52 PM)
basically, it's goign to be one of those three schools he chooses

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 9:46:16 PM)
Is UM out?

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:46:17 PM)
Interesting.. so you are saying Michigan won't be one of the final three...

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:46:34 PM)
it all comes down to this, the flavor of the week is UCLA. He does like them. But a lot can, and might change in the next few weeks. If he decides he cant pull the trigger to leave home, he's coming to Ohio State

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:46:50 PM)
In all honesty, Michigan hasn't really ever been "in"

cap10 (Mar 1, 2004 9:47:09 PM)
Hey Buck, have you discussed the UCLA rumors with Coach Stone and if so,what is his take??

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:47:31 PM)
Of the three programs, there is clearly one who is better than the other two and that's Kansas. Why the pull to UCLA? Does he think he and the recruits can turn it around?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:47:47 PM)
Well, I don't want to comment on particular people's opinions , but I can tell you the staff as a whole still feel in the end, Malik will not make the journey out west

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:47:51 PM)
think they can turn it around

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:48:21 PM)
The mystique of UCLA, the tradition, their recruiting class, and Coach Zeigler...those are the reasons UCLA is appealing to him

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 9:48:41 PM)
what positive signs can we take from the end of this season moving towards next

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:48:52 PM)
If MH goes elesewhere what do the Bucks do with the scholly?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:49:31 PM)
I think the fact the team is playing better "team" basketball is a good sign. Also having more athleticsm next year, and having Jamar Butler to challent BFC

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:49:39 PM)
Paul, that all depends...

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:49:46 PM)
isn't there going to be a lot of PT issues at UCLA?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:49:54 PM)
if they sign a big man, they will bank the scholarship, or take a JUCO wing

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 9:50:05 PM)
Where do we stand potenial post players ?

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:50:21 PM)
I just fear that the UCLA recruits will sell Malik hard during the McDonald's game.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:50:30 PM)
Well, i'm baffled by the wing situation at UCLA. They aren't happy with Dijon Thompson, but they have Shipp and Afflalo coming in too

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:50:56 PM)
PT at UCLA would be a plus for us, they have a bunch of guys

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:51:12 PM)
Luke Nevill would probably come here if and when we offer. We're evaluating some jucos. We're also giving a good look to Shawn Taggert a 6'10 center from Durham Mt. Zion

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:51:23 PM)
Sullinger, Sylvester, and really Billings shouldn't scare him at all

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:51:32 PM)
for PT

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:51:40 PM)
Well, Malik is well aware the job is more or less his if he signs

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 9:52:21 PM)
Billings should see time with Malik if he comes

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:52:33 PM)
What happened to staying close to home with him?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:52:45 PM)
The people that told me about Malik chatting to others about the UCLA thing...these same people also say they don't believe it's going to hold up.

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:52:52 PM)
I think Billings is just going to get better and better...

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:52:58 PM)
It's like this Paul,

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 9:53:09 PM)
Any Juco or post players that could make us better defensively?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:53:14 PM)
right now, Malik isn't really considering the distance. He's just looking at his schools objectively.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:53:17 PM)
When it comes time,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:53:31 PM)
he will have to evaluate if he wants to stray that far from his support system...

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:53:36 PM)
most people who know him, do not believe he will

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:54:18 PM)
jantonio, if Malik signs...mark my words, we will be a LOT better defensively next year. Hairston's defense is probably the best part of his game IMO

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 9:54:22 PM)
what's MH thoughts on this years osu team

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:54:38 PM)
ahhhhhhh

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:54:48 PM)
i'm afraid of this answer

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:55:06 PM)
he's disapointed that they are struggling. I think it's affected him to some extent. But at the same time, look at Oklahoma, UCLA, even Michigan. No one but Kansas is likely to make the NCAA

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 9:55:16 PM)
Did I miss anything? :-)

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:55:19 PM)
UCLA is doing worst than us!

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:55:22 PM)
Why he is looking at UCLA and they suck

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:55:36 PM)
Yes. Jordan Farmar, and "Los Angelas"

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:04 PM)
and Ziegler

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:11 PM)
I have a non-Malik question for everyone... is anyone worried about St. John's having Obie on their short list and his "I am not getting into that" when questioned about it.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:14 PM)
hah, that makes sense

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:14 PM)
yes, and Ziegler

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:27 PM)
not me BK

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:34 PM)
Does he ever speak to Butler or Billings? Friends on the team couldn't hurt?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:44 PM)
Butler called him once

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:47 PM)
they spoke for ten minutes

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:52 PM)
cool

petecarrollsnumber1guy (Mar 1, 2004 9:56:58 PM)
ok just got in here, what is the deal with all the Malik to UCLA rumor's? Is this just basically from the Detroit press or should we be worried?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:00 PM)
I was told that his families might know each other, because Jamar knew him previously

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:17 PM)
Who are the top prospects for next year , I've given up on Hairston?

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:17 PM)
So is there a date for MH's decision?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:22 PM)
As for Billings, I think he knows Malik a little bit too, and they bonded on his visit in September

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:36 PM)
Malik will announce March 26th to April 1st

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:41 PM)
Terwilliger brings in Butler, Butler brings in Hairston? Sounds right

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:57:42 PM)
Sometime in between

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 9:58:07 PM)
Is Farmer that much better than Butler? From listening to UCLA fans, Farmer could run circles around Butler.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:58:26 PM)
bw, next year is really up in the air because we're in a holding pattern with Malik. I just want to tell you it's too early to give up hope on Hairston, we've still got a good shot

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:58:54 PM)
BK, not at all. Butler's ranking was affected because of his early UC commitment, and because he was injured this summer and didnt get to play a lot of summer ball

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 9:58:58 PM)
Sounds like the dominos will fall as soon as Hairston makes his decision

LebBuck (Mar 1, 2004 9:59:02 PM)
Just joined... anything new on Nevill?

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 9:59:18 PM)
My worry is that there are no top wings that we seem to be seriously in on in the '05 class

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:59:19 PM)
The staff requested tape of Nevill two weeks ago,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:59:23 PM)
they are still looking at it

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 9:59:31 PM)
as far as next year, goes...

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:02 PM)
I think Cornley could very well be in the class, Raymond only if Hairston doesn't sign, and we'll surely get a point guard. I keep hearing Dominic James, but I don't know how serious he is about us yet

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:09 PM)
Where are we with B.J. Raymond if Malik doesn't work oout

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:29 PM)
Buck, its wrong to put all your eggs in one basket ! Thats hurt us too many times .

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:32 PM)
Raymond likes Ohio State. I think we're in good shape with him if we offer

petecarrollsnumber1guy (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:45 PM)
Good to hear Buck, from everything I have been reading on the UCLA site, I think it is speculation at best. Rumor that got started in a paper. I remember what happened with DJ. We thought he was coming, it was being reported by several papers even lemming. I still think we have as good a chance as anyone.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:49 PM)
Dominic James? Is he the one from Atlanta?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:00:59 PM)
bw, I think in this case, it was the right call. But i tend to agree with you, it's killed us in the past

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:01:06 PM)
well we see more of a 4 out 1 in look next year I think the two post men is really clogging the lane for penetratiion

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:01:21 PM)
James is from Richmond, Indiana

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:01:45 PM)
he's a four-star point guard. Will be a top ten PG next year

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:01:55 PM)
Are we in good shape with the 6'7" jr post from New Jersey that visited campus?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:02:27 PM)
Tyrell Biggs, I believe you're talking about. From Bosco prep. I like him a lot, but i'm not real encouraged early on. He hasn't been naming OSU in any of his updates that i've seen

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:02:36 PM)
Who was the point guard that came in to a football game with his coach and plays with the #1 post product this year?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:02:53 PM)
It was in the BSB

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:07 PM)
Do you remember who the post player was or what school?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:22 PM)
He's the top junior this year

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:32 PM)
so says rivals

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:42 PM)
Will the Hoosiers have anything to say about James?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:47 PM)
That would be Jamelle Cornley I suppose you're talking about

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:49 PM)
Post player was Dwight Howard.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:03:56 PM)
howard, yes

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:20 PM)
Why are we not offering Cornley, or have we? Is it because of Hairston?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:28 PM)
Oh okay. I have to think about that for a second, who the PG is. I might have to look into that tonight or tommorrow for you

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:41 PM)
We haven't offered any junior in the state yet

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:44 PM)
Daequan Cook, who are his early leaders

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:55 PM)
Cornley we just want to evaluate against bigger competition

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:04:56 PM)
thanks, I remember his coach was so impressed, he wished howard came along

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:09 PM)
Cook will probably come down to Ohio State or North Carolina in my opinion

LebBuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:12 PM)
Weren't we looking at a couple juco's for next year? Anything on them?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:34 PM)
Leb, we were looking at 3 post jucos,

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:39 PM)
Hmmmmm, Cook, Hairston, Butler....

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:40 PM)
2 of them have grade issues,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:43 PM)
another is out for the season

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:05:54 PM)
all the others we're looking at, i've had a tough time getting names for

LebBuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:10 PM)
Looks like that is out of the question. Who were the 3 names?

cap10 (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:15 PM)
Are we still in on John Oates from NJ?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:21 PM)
nope

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:24 PM)
Jamahl Stokes and Randy Orr of Georgia Perimeter

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:34 PM)
and Jamal Nichols of Globe Tech in New York

LebBuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:43 PM)
Thanks.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:44 PM)
Is Aaron Pogue someone we have a shot at?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:06:51 PM)
Stokes is out for the season. Orr and Nichols have grade problems, and Orr was a stiff anyways

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:01 PM)
Cap, Oates was not impressive at all

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:07 PM)
we stopped looking at him

cap10 (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:13 PM)
thanks

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:28 PM)
Aaron Pogue I talked to at the Troy-Dunbar game, and I think we'll have a shot at him. But he's just a freshmen, so it's early

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:36 PM)
Have the coaches soured on Sylvester, or do they still see him contributing in the future?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:07:58 PM)
They haven't totally soured on him yet

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:08:12 PM)
he's a tweener now probably

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:08:20 PM)
they would like him to get healthy and work hard this offseason, because they like his abililty to provide a scoring punch (hopefully behind Malik)

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:08:49 PM)
Justin Holland is the PG from Atlanta, Howard's teammate

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:08:54 PM)
there are some legitimate vibes out there they would like to see him bulk up and play some at the four next year. It might be his best chance of PT

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:08:55 PM)
kind of hard to sour on someone who is costantly injured I would think

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:09:19 PM)
Beat me to it holic and thanks logic, that is who it is

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:09:19 PM)
I'll see what I can find out with Holland, I've only heard is name come up once in my conversations. I'll see where he stands

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 10:09:29 PM)
I hope there is more hope for Harris to play more at the four next year!

cap10 (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:02 PM)
Not sure they will have much choice BK...lack of depth

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:03 PM)
I think you'll see Ivan plenty. He knows what he has to do, and this offseason is usually when a player bulks up the most

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:18 PM)
Do you think the hoops team is back in the NCAA's next season? If not is Obie on the hot seat?

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:21 PM)
will billings have 2 or 3 more years left after this season

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:32 PM)
Can Twig really give us Big 10 minutes at backup center next year?

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:32 PM)
I think we'll be fine with Dials, Twig, JJW and Ivan at the 4 and 5

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:52 PM)
If they don't get back in next year, I do believe the pressure is on. And probably rightfully so. But if Malik comes our way, i'd be shocked if we're not back....even without him, i think we're significantly better

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 10:10:56 PM)
Buck, O'brien is a very good coach but his recruiting needs to improve ! Next year is critical to the program

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 10:11:14 PM)
Billings is a sophomore, but I believe if he has shown enough progress toward a degree, he could get the lost year back (i.e. Ken Johnson)?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:11:18 PM)
I really do like Twig's post moves and aggressiveness, so yes...I think he can give us good minutes behind Dials

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:11:28 PM)
How does JJW fit into the team?

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:11:38 PM)
like a bigger Singleton

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:11:38 PM)
bw, thats true, but thats why they were willign to put everyone in Malik's basket

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:02 PM)
oooooh, JJW? I

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:14 PM)
JJW is going to be a fan favorite. Coach Stone loves the kid. He thinks JJW will be too scrappy to keep off the floor

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:23 PM)
Hello hoops lovers. Great game on the tube with Texas and Oklahoma State. Looked like Barnes and our good friend Tom O'Neill weren't getting along too well.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:40 PM)
welcome steve!

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:42 PM)
Stevie!

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:12:47 PM)
You mean you aren't watching LeBron?

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:03 PM)
How many B10 teams make the dance this year?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:11 PM)
I am of the belief there will be 4

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:20 PM)

MSU, Wiscy, Illinois, and Purdue. Michigan possibly too

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:35 PM)
Iowa has an outside shot

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:39 PM)
Would Michigan go over Iowa?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:45 PM)
Is the staff reconsidering their stance on taking transfers from here on out

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:13:49 PM)
I think they would personally

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:16 PM)
do we a any shot at the big ten touney

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:21 PM)
Purdue? after the beating they took at the hands Wisky

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:34 PM)
I don't think they are reconsidering their stance, I just think Stockman and Sullinger were opportunities they felt could provide immediate help for the 2003-04 season

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:47 PM)
I think Purdue is in trouble after that NIT-like performance yesterday (another Bo Ryan get 'em down and pound 'em special). They're RPI is near 100. Not good. Michigan needs a road win at IU or NW to cinch the 4th Big Ten bid. They'll get the sympathy vote.

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:49 PM)
With JJW and Malik to go with Billings and Stockman, could we really compete at a high level in the uptempo style coaches were touting this fall?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:14:50 PM)
Purdue has 5 quality wins in the NCAA's eyes

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:15:10 PM)
I think Purdue HAS to beat Illinois, however

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:15:37 PM)
jantonio, I think if Malik signs, it will be without question our most athletic team

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:14 PM)
any previews of new teams we could see on the schedule next season?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:27 PM)
Malik and JJW instantaneously become our two best athletes, and our two best defenders. You put them on the floor with Terrance Dials, Ricardo Billings and Stockman or Butler, and I love that lineup

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:29 PM)
what player does malik remind you of

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:44 PM)
Steve or holic, was wondering what O'brien's opinion was on moving the students closer.

BuckeyeBK (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:52 PM)
Did Steve say in his column that St. Joe's could be on the schedule next year?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:16:53 PM)
Style of play reminds me of a much tougher and bulked up Richard Hamilton

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:17:03 PM)
Butler play from jump street in my book.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:17:06 PM)
but he's such a better rebounder and shot blocker

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:17:48 PM)
I think Obie would like to change a lot of things, but i'm not sure that's in the cards

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:17:58 PM)
and that is a shame

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:00 PM)
On Purdue, yes they beat Seton Hall, Duke, Wisconsin, Illinois and MSU. But they've only won 3 of their last 9. I think need a win over Illinois and/or one next weekend with Iowa.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:17 PM)
I agree Steve, I think a win over Illinois is a must

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:31 PM)
do you feel if ob would of pressured malik early he would of done signed with us

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:38 PM)
No

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:43 PM)
What you send home Kent State/Western Michigan over Purdue at this point?

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:47 PM)
Guys, I'm late. Can I get the Cliff's Notes version. Any good/new news on the Malik front?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:18:49 PM)
Malik was going to wait this out. Our staff knew it was part of the equation

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:06 PM)
Regarding St. Joe's, yes, O'Brien did say they are about 90 percent sure St. Joe's will visit VCA next year. Then, they'll go to Philly the following year. Not sure what the urgency is to schedule them because St. Joe's has no Ohio guys and OSU has nobody from Philly do they? Maybe they figure St. Joe

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:11 PM)
's is a one-year wonder

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:16 PM)
Obie's voice problems didn't help any in the fall

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:24 PM)
no1fan,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:41 PM)
nothing good really, just addressed the UCLA rumors and told everyone where they came from and why

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:44 PM)
Obie's voice is back to 80-90 percent now. Hope it can stay right where it is.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:49 PM)
ST. Joes has Delonte West returning along with several starters, should still be a tough team

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:19:49 PM)
Man - the Cowboys are a nice team

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:20:20 PM)
Can he yell though Steve? There are some guys that still need to be yelled at on this team !!

avon (Mar 1, 2004 10:20:29 PM)
Has any media asked Obie about reports in NY linking him to the St. John's job (even as a darkhorse candidate)?

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:20:39 PM)
I hate to say it, but Michigan looks good for next year. We have to be better. With a point guard, M State is among the elite. Do you see the big 10 regaining its status as a top 2 or 3 conference next year?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:20:44 PM)
UA, I think Obie was yelling just fine at the Michigan game

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:20:49 PM)
Buckaholic, in your opinion, are we still standing in good stead with Malik? Would you say we have a good or better chance than anyone?

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:21:39 PM)
did milik show up at the michigan game if not why?

UABuck (Mar 1, 2004 10:21:59 PM)
Wasn't there.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:22:04 PM)
If I had to put money on the table, and Malik was forced to make a decision today, I think i'd put it on UCLA. That seems to be where the wind is blowing. But I think in the end, I still really do like our chances. Malik is a homeboy, he puts so much emphasis on family and support system. I'll still be very surprised if he makes that trip out there in the end, despite his leanings to UCLA at the moment

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:22:36 PM)
Do any B10 teams make the sweet 16 this year?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:22:43 PM)
no

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:22:50 PM)
Ive been told that he's been back and fourth so many times in the past few months. So this is a flavor of the week situation

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:23:11 PM)
So, you're saying that these rumors about UCLA are more than mere rumors?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:23:34 PM)
their rumors until he commits

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:23:35 PM)
Mike, he wasnt there, but I dont think he has , or has ever had since this past fall, serious interest in Michigan. He will choose between UCLA, Ohio State, and possibly Kansas

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:23:57 PM)
avon, we asked him Sat. He said nobody has contacted him and he did not sound interested. Said OSU has been great to him and he has no urgency to look somewhere else.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:24:08 PM)
Knowing what I know, any rumor of him committing unless we confirm it, is probably bogus. Not a single staff will not eb informed right away,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:24:29 PM)
but as of right now, he has told a few people he was 'leaning' to UCLA. But this changes often. So don't get depressed

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:24:54 PM)
would you like to see malik decide before the all-american game

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:25:23 PM)
Big Ten in Sweet 16? I like MSU and Illinois to make some waves. Maybe Wisconsin if they ride Harris. Michigan has the athletes, but their guards must hit their 3's on a more consistent basis. OSU stayed with them early because they weren't making them.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:25:44 PM)
No. I think the longer he thinks this out, the better our chances. If he's truly in his UCLA kick as of two weeks ago, i'd rather he think it over more and see him come out of it completely-- which isnt out of the question

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:26:33 PM)
How hard will it affect the staff if he doesn' come here?

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:26:51 PM)
I thought Malik was a real homebody? How in the world is he going to go all the way across the country, unless his family relocates?

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:26:56 PM)
I think potentially it would hurt, especially since Ohio is so down in the junior class.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:27:17 PM)
would you take a Purdue/Michigan over a Kent State/Western Michigan for one of the last at large bids

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:27:24 PM)
They will be crushed. You think i'm optimistic? Well, I think the staff , particularly Coach Stone is probably moreso. I think they feel they've done everything they can do. And if in the end it doesnt pay off, they will be definitely disapointed

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:27:34 PM)
no1fan,

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:28:00 PM)
psychologically, it would have to hurt them

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:28:02 PM)
I think "losing" Malik would be a serious psychological blow to Obie. He needs him, to re-energize the faithful.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:28:07 PM)
I explained this earlier, but basically hes' thinking this over right now objectively without taking distance into his decision. Once he gets ready to make the decision, he will decide if he truly wants to go that far

mike4178 (Mar 1, 2004 10:28:40 PM)
buck - steve you guys do a great job keep up the good work . see ya

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:28:49 PM)
good evening mike

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:29:36 PM)
Well, I can respect that, adding up all the pluses and minuses, but location is a consideration above all other things. Going all the way out to Cali is starting a whole new life. Just doesn't seem to fit Malik, from what I've read of him.

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:29:58 PM)
Will MM be back next year?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:08 PM)
no1, and you're not the only one. Believe me, ive had this discussion with a lot of people. I think all who know Malik don't expect he will make that trip

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:17 PM)
confucious says no

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:20 PM)
I do not believe Marinchick will be back

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:22 PM)
Is B.J. Raymond an impact player in the Big Ten as a freshman?

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:24 PM)
On the Big Ten-Mac arcument, Michigan is about 50, Western is about 55 in RPI and Kent is 62. Purdue now 93. I think UM is 1 more win this week from being in. If it was a perfect world both of those MAC teams would be in, but it's not.

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:44 PM)
I like O'Brien alot ! Is he trouble if things don't change?

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:54 PM)
Buck, that's fine that Marinchick doesn't come back. But they need bodies from somewhere.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:30:54 PM)
Raymond will be a good player in the big ten if he's in the conference, but I dont think he will make a large impact right away. Not yet strong enough and doesnt yet have good enough one-one -one skills

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:31:14 PM)
is he a player better suited for the A10?

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:31:39 PM)
As a Toledoan, I do not believe Raymond is an impact player as a frosh. Maybe after a RS year.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:31:41 PM)
I know Steve. I guess it just depends on Terwilliger and how good he can be right away, and whether Sylvester bulked up some. But I think they will find a post somewhere

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:32:17 PM)
If NDials gets MM's ship, will it be for NDials remaining 3 years?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:32:19 PM)
I think you'll see BJ end up at a Dayton, a Xavier, some place like that

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:32:34 PM)
Is Radinovic's loss next year Harris's gain? Or will it be JJW and Terwilliger's to gain?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:32:35 PM)
If Dials stays on this year, I do not see him losing it at all the rest of his career

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:32:49 PM)
I think Syl needs to muscle up not bulk up JMHO

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:10 PM)
Harris will have every opportunity to start next year. JJW and Twig will find plenty of minutes, however

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:16 PM)
This is a concern of mine.....an High School All-American, like Ivan Harris probably wants major PT, do you think it's a possibility he'll transfer?

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:19 PM)
Since we're talking about Toledo St. John's, I do believe Hillesland was a good get for ND. He's raw, but has skills. I think he'll be VERY good in 3-4 years.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:38 PM)
Is this doubt we have in cornely's game as a 4 going to come back and haunt us with Dayton and scUM after him hard

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:38 PM)
Dawg, I just ran into him and Nick waiting for the bus on campus on Saturday,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:44 PM)
I got the impression he's plenty happy

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:33:50 PM)
In a game of 2 vs 2, do BFC and MM beat Doug Etzler and John Lumpkin? On another note, is Cornley the only Ohio jr you think will be offered?

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:34:02 PM)
Good, thanks Buck. That just kept runnin' through my mind.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:34:58 PM)
I think Hillesland was a great signing for Notre Dame. We might have offered if we lose Hairston, but no regrets. Cornley is the only ohio player i see an offer as of now, atleast assuming Malik signed

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:35:35 PM)
Th little I have seen IH play he does seem to like to roam on the perimeter , I've not seen him go in and post up . I mean he is a good sooter but he needs to do damage inside also.

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:35:40 PM)
Of course, Hillesland is only a junior, so no signing just yet.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:35:48 PM)
Cornley kinda reminds me of Brandon Hunter. Will we lose ground with by not offering him right away and doubting his skills as a four

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:35:52 PM)
Just not a deep crop in Ohio this coming year

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:35:56 PM)
I think that is what OB's concern is with IH. He's not as aggressive as he'd like.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:36:01 PM)
yes, commitment i should have said

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:36:31 PM)
The final play of the game the other day says it all about Harris. He pulled out and tried to hit a three instead of going hard to the rack on the break. I like the guy, but he's got to engage.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:36:34 PM)
With Ivan, it has everything to do with staying down low and pounding. That's all it is. Once he does that, there's no problem

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:36:48 PM)
I saw that too Steve, I agree.

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:12 PM)
Why is IH not wanting to do as OB says?

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:23 PM)
It's not that simple.

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:25 PM)
As Raftery (sp) says...TAKE IT TO THE WHOLE BIG FELLA.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:27 PM)
It's not that he doesn't want to, it's just like the Stockman thing,

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:37 PM)
What worries me about IH is that I heard similiar complaints about his game the year before he went to Oak Hill and he doesn't seem to have changed

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:38 PM)
hole*

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:39 PM)
its not his style. He has to change a style of play he's always had

jantoniorules (Mar 1, 2004 10:37:54 PM)
I'm out like Cliff Stoudt. Thanks for the info. Great job!

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:38:00 PM)
There is some talent in there. They just have to get it out of him.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:38:05 PM)
seeya jantonio

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:38:17 PM)
Yes but, in Harris's defense the staff mentioned on numerous times how Harris brings a different dimension. They kind of set him up for that a little

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:38:21 PM)
Harris just ain't tough enough yet. Sometimes, that takes a little time. Wish we would have RS'ed him, honestly.

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:38:26 PM)
I can definitely see the potential in IH, he's a basketball player and a very talented kid.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:00 PM)
In hindsight it would have been better to redshirt him, but I think the staff fully anticipated he would have a better grasp of his role by now

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:15 PM)
Did OB and staff feel Bass would not develop into a Big10 player or was something else going on there?

SteveHelwagen (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:20 PM)
I can see that Buckaholic has this whole thing under control. I'm going back to work on some other things. Take care everybody.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:32 PM)
Seeya later Steve

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:33 PM)
Thanks Steve. Bye.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:35 PM)
Logic,

avon (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:43 PM)
How much PT does the staff envision for Butler next year?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:39:55 PM)
basically the way I understand it, is that early on, they felt Bass was going to bulk up, and he could get much stronger,

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:40:12 PM)
finally this year, the trainer told them flat out, he just wasnt going to get as big as they wanted him to.

bw1954 (Mar 1, 2004 10:40:23 PM)
Buck , super job ! Please have the chats more often ! Thanks , later

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:40:29 PM)
so they went ahead and told him they didnt see him getting as many minutes as he would like, so he transferred

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:40:42 PM)
thanks BW, have a good one. We'll have more of these more often!

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:40:58 PM)
Buck, you said you were on campus. Are you staff? Student?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:41:37 PM)
Neither. Was actually at a friend's apartment, and happened to drive by Morril tower, and saw them out there. So since i had not talked to Nick in a while, I chit-chatted w/ them

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:41:56 PM)
I hate to single out one player, but who has been the most disappointing this season?

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:01 PM)
JJS

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:02 PM)
IMO

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:05 PM)
JJS defniitely

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:09 PM)
I say Sullinger

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:10 PM)
I had high hopes for him

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:15 PM)
Stockman

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:18 PM)
He looks so awkward to me.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:20 PM)
is it confidence

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:28 PM)
new system?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:58 PM)
somewhat. He just doesnt understand getting things within the flow of the game. I also think he's better suited to an up tempo style.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:42:59 PM)
pushing the envelope with Stockman

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:43:18 PM)
TS has been better lately but I still don't like allot of his shot decisions, the timing.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:43:25 PM)
It's just a matter of starting fresh. Next year with a new mix, a new group, a true PG challenging for minutes, you may see a whole different team

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:43:28 PM)
JJS needs to break some bad habits (double clutching, entry passing) but has potential. I've actually been pleasantly surprised at his outside shot.

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:43:57 PM)
what do you think about Biancardi being named Horizon League coach of the year?

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:43:58 PM)
He's so strong and a great athlete, I think he will develop just fine.

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:10 PM)
He is the best shooter of the guards, always felt he should shoot more and TS less.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:10 PM)
I think Sullinger just needs to make better decisions of when to use his one-on-one penetration skills, and when not to

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:20 PM)
Stockman has been a favorite whipping boy, but we'd be downright feeble from the perimeter without him. He might have started out the season as a disappointment, but he's played well the last 9-10 games.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:29 PM)
Biancardi nearly deserves national coach of the year in my opinion lol

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:36 PM)
what he's doing with Wright State is phenomenal

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:45 PM)
and honestly, they dont have much talent beyond their PG

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:46 PM)
If it weren't for TS, we would have a worse record than what we do now, IMO.

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:44:50 PM)
a future replacement for O'brien?

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:01 PM)
im very late......whats up with the malik to ucla talk

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:02 PM)
hopefully many years down the road

BigDawg40 (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:13 PM)
Man, I don't want to talk about a replacement for OB now.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:13 PM)
If O'brien went any where, i'd sure hope so. But i dont want to think about that scenario right now

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:28 PM)
I saw Toledo absolutely demolish Wright St earlier in the year. If he turned that bunch into contenders, that is truly a remarkable job.

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:39 PM)
Anyone else concerned that the coaches were thinking we could lead the Big10 in scoring? Could they have misjudged the team any more?

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:54 PM)
yes and no

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:45:54 PM)
jawnly, it started from malik telling a few people a few weeks ago that he was kind of leaning to UCLA. But he's been back and forth and constantly changing his mind. So it's not anything concrete

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:46:14 PM)
i even live in LA, and people dont care hoops here

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:46:18 PM)
they start a frosh at PG, and two others including a walk on for Wright State

Paul8853 (Mar 1, 2004 10:46:26 PM)
Nice chat Holic, later guys

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:46:34 PM)
seeya Paul.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:46:58 PM)
Logic, I think there was defintely something missed there....

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:47:21 PM)
it's just a culmination of so many things

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:47:26 PM)
If they get Nevil, Cornley in or out without regarding how he does this summer?

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:47:40 PM)
is osu even checkin out cornley?

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:47:43 PM)
I think Cornley's status is all on him

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:47:57 PM)
Do you think OSU has lost ground with Cornley doubting his abilities as a true 4

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:11 PM)
I believe he would have to be out if we get Malik. If NDials takes MM's ship, we would only get a PG.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:22 PM)
they're extremely interested in Cornley. They dont want to let him go.. They just want to be sure of themselves

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:26 PM)
Buckaholic, bballbucks seems to think that our chances with Cornley are nil, even if we offer. True?

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:30 PM)
Do you think Cornley compares with Brandon Hunter as an undersized four

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:31 PM)
its not gauranteed nd will get a ship

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:48:55 PM)
No, once they see him against taller players during AAU, if the does like I expect him to, he will be offered by may or june.

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:49:13 PM)
he's helped alot this season, but since they stripped the limit from 14 to 13, we should go after the top talent

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:49:39 PM)
Cornley has been to eight games this season, his uncle has told me he's a huge fan, trust me, if and when we offer, our chances are good

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:50:05 PM)
People are too caught up with height, imo. If Cornley can play, he can play. Need animals like him on this squad. That is one thing severely lacking. We have too many nice guys on this squad. Need a little attitude.

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:50:07 PM)
thats encouraging news

OSUHoops1 (Mar 1, 2004 10:50:20 PM)
great chat! Thanks 'holic

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:50:29 PM)
np Hoops. Thanks for joining in

Mr. Logic (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:06 PM)
I'm outta here as well. Thanks again for all the effort. Appreciate the insight.

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:06 PM)
Well, I like the potential future if Malik and Jamelle are in it. You put those guys with JJW, Ricardo, Jamar, Nick Dials, etc...no one would out-work this team down the road

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:15 PM)
college ball, i dont think size matters as much these days

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:32 PM)
No problem. Well fellas, I need to hit the road myself. Got some work to finish up

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:34 PM)
Cornely can flat out play

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:46 PM)
thanks holic

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:48 PM)

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:53 PM)

Buckaholic (Mar 1, 2004 10:51:56 PM)
We're going to try to make this more of a habitual thing

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:52:01 PM)
thats cool

JNJGRHM (Mar 1, 2004 10:52:04 PM)
sounds good

bucksno1fan (Mar 1, 2004 10:52:05 PM)
Sure hope an offer to Cornley is forthcoming. Would love to see him in S & G.

jawnly211 (Mar 1, 2004 10:52:19 PM)
