An offensive lineman that has emerged as one of Ohio's best is Mason's Zach Marshall. Marshall stands at 6-7, 270, and Mason head coach Gary Popovich says that the size is no exaggeration.
"He's a legit 6-7," he said. "He played right tackle for us. We don't flop our tackles; we just leave him over there."
The coach says interest is increasing in this lineman, and two standout programs have already offered.
"West Virginia and Michigan State have already offered," he said. "Iowa, Cincinnati, Purdue, Ohio U, Bowling Green, they've all been in. Duke and Boston College were in yesterday."
Coach Popovich said Marshall compares favorably to West Chester Lakota West's Steve Rehring, who signed with Ohio State this year.
"We played Lakota, and I think he moves every bit as good as Rehring," Popovich said.
Marshall also wrestled this year.
"The only wrestlers he lost to were seniors," Popovich said.
