The 6-2, 170-pound Amos caught 26 passes for 351 yards (13.5 average) and scored eight touchdowns as a junior for a 6-4 Middletown team.
Amos hasn't had much time for recruiting this spring as he has been busy with track and was playing basketball before that.
"I was running track, but I pulled my hamstring right before the regionals," he said. "I run the 100, the 200 and the 400 in the relay. My best 100 time was 10.8."
Amos lists offers from some of the Big Ten's strongest programs.
"Right now, I've got offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue, Northwestern, West Virginia, Miami (OH), and Bowling Green," Amos said.
Amos also hopes to check out some of those schools. He already has at least one on the agenda.
"I'm going to camp at Michigan on the 22nd," he said. "I am not sure if I am going to Ohio State's camp yet.
"I was just at Purdue on Saturday and at Bowling Green. I didn't go to any combines but I was invited. I have been getting a lot of mail from Florida too."
There had been talk circulating that a commitment was imminent, but that seems to be news to Amos.
"I've been hearing that I am supposedly ready to make a verbal," he said. "I have not thought about it yet. I am keeping all my options on the table."
When can we expect a decision?
"I was going to wait, but I am tired of the process already," he said. "It was fun early, but now I've had about enough."
Amos may not know what school he will choose, but it does sound like he knows what he's looking for.
"I want to go where I can play early," he said. "I want to go where I can get a good education in criminal justice, and I want to go where the coaches are going to invest in me.
"I don't want to just be another receiver or cornerback. I don't want to just be a number. I want a staff that will help me be the best player I can be."
Amos is known first as a WR, but cornerback is also a possibility.
"I also started at corner," he said. "I like the hitting and trying to shut down the other team's best receiver.
"Ohio State and Purdue are recruiting me as both a corner and a receiver. I have been told that I can go to a coach at anytime and ask to move to the opposite side of the ball. I can't say which I prefer right now."
What schools are in the lead for this prospect?
"I'm narrowing things down," Amos said. "Right now, I've got a solid three of Purdue, Ohio State and Michigan."
Amos is taking the test on the 12th and has a 3.5 core GPA.
