"I went over to Notre Dame for a one-day senior camp," he said. "They offered."
A couple more Big Ten schools are in contact as well.
"Michigan has been in contact a little bit recently," Wilson said. "They want me to come up, but I don't know.
"Penn State is also talking about an offer. I expect that any time."
Is there a timetable for his decision?
"I'm waiting until the season starts, and then I'm going to set up official visits," he said.
For Wilson, this has all been a bit of a surprise -- so much so that he hasn't even established a list of schools he is interested in.
"You know what? I'm really not sure yet," he said. "This is all just happening so fast, and I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I have not been paying attention until now, like a lot of other guys have been."
Wilson, who stands at 6-6, said it didn't take long for Notre Dame to decide they wanted to offer.
"I'm about 235 right now," he said. "I ran a 4.6 at Notre Dame. They said I didn't have to run again, so I guess they were satisfied."
The fact that Wilson played WR last year on offense gives you an idea of his athleticism, and he will be playing TE this season, but DE seems to be his future.
"Everybody that's offered me wants me as a defensive end," he said.
Wilson is also a fine basketball player, and although football seems to be his ticket, he is putting in time on the court as well.
"I'm not really sure about if I prefer basketball or football," he said. "I'm playing AAU basketball right now. I hear I'm going to be playing with (Xavier commit and top Ohio prospect) B.J. Raymond in the future. He's supposed to be joining our AAU team.
"I play the 2 and the 3, but mostly I play the 3."
