Amos Still Focusing On Three

Middletown (Oh.) WR/DB Andre Amos, one of Ohio's top prospects, had a quiet summer when it came to camps and still seems to be focusing on three schools in particular. We caught up with him yesterday for an update.

WR/DB Andre Amos of Middletown has had a bit of a quiet summer.

"No, I didn't camp anywhere," he said. "I'm planning to go up to Michigan and Ohio State (for visits). I've already been over to Purdue. I've already been to Ohio State, but not to Michigan."

Amos has offers from each of those three schools and seems to be focusing on them, but he also has another impressive offer from an area school.

"I also got an offer from Notre Dame," he said.

What is the timetable for his for his decision?

"There is a possibility I could make a decision before the season," Amos said. "I really don't know for sure."

Amos can play either WR or DB in college, and it appears he is partial to neither.

"I want to play early and I want to go to a good program," he said. "I'm not particular about where I play. Where I can get on the field the soonest."

Amos has been busy in the weight room and is looking forward to playing in a new offensse this season.

"We're off for a couple of weeks, but I've been in the weight room anyway," he said. "The weight room's open."

"Our new coach is our former receiver coach. He took Fenwick to the playoffs a couple of times. We're doing some new things. We're doing a lot more motion stuff. I'm excited about the offense we're going to run this year."
