Game Day Photo Gallery

It was Alumni Band and Cheerleading day for the season-opener against Cincinnati and I wanted to share with you some of the game-day events that I saw that weren't a part of the actual game.

Through a prior arrangement, I began my day by meeting Carlton Jackson (left) and Ronnie Wilson, two top Florida prep recruits, outside of St. John Arena.

I saw Justin Zwick with his game face on as the team left St. John Arena and headed over to Ohio Stadium.

I saw Jim Tressel.

I saw something old...welcome back Tara!

I saw something new...could it be Reese Witherspoon?

When I went into the stadium and down to the field I saw the Schlegel family contingent.

I saw our two quarterbacks together during their pregame warm-up.

I saw our own Steve Helwagen being interviewed by Clay Hall prior to the start of the game.

I saw our drum major march across the field.

I saw future Buckeye Brian Hartline of Canton GlenOak High School getting his bandages signed by Brutus.

I saw Ted Ginn Jr. for the first time in his game-day Buckeye uniform.

I saw Ted Ginn Sr. and Mrs. Ginn (to his left) rooting on their son, the Glenville gang and the Buckeyes.

I saw Justin Zwick's brother Jared (left) and their dad just seconds before the kickoff.

I saw the the band 'Dot the I' during the halftime show.

I saw the cheerleaders having tons of fun after one of the Buckeye touchdowns.

Go Bucks!

I saw Simon Fraser talking with Gino Guidugli right after the game ended.

I saw Jason Caldwell saying a postgame prayer at midfield.

I saw Mark Snyder hugging his family members and kissing one of his daughters after the game.

And of course I saw our Buckeyes along with the band and all of the fans still in the stands sing our beloved Carmen Ohio.
