Prospects Attend OSU's Game With Marshall

Columbus Brookhaven linebacker Alex Daniels, fresh off an 11-tackle showing in a win over Columbus Walnut Ridge, was among a group of recruits at Saturday's game with Marshall.

Ohio State welcomed a number of prospects for Saturday's game with Marshall.

OSU verbals at the game included Todd Denlinger, Andre Amos, Rob Schoenhoft, Alex Boone, Jimmy Cordle and Brian Hartline.

Schoenhoft sat out his second straight game Friday after injuring his ankle in his team's opener. However, he confirmed he plans to return next week.

Raceway, Ky., kicker Aaron Pettrey, still projected to enroll as a grayshirt in January, attended the game.

Columbus Brookhaven linebacker Alex Daniels, who had 11 tackles and three forced fumbles in a win over rival Walnut Ridge last night, was also in attendance. Canton GlenOak senior LB Brandon Long and junior QB Mike Hartline were also at the game.

Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers junior DB Chris Fox, son of former Buckeye All-American Tim Fox and a cousin to current captain Dustin Fox, also attended the game. He had a 44-yard punt return in his team's 41-7 win over Fitchburg last night.

A number of prospects were in attendance from Pennsylvania, including Erie McDowell fullback Jayson White (6-2, 220). A pair of players attended from Pittsburgh Woodland Hills: Junior DB Darrin Willis (6-1, 175) and junior WR Wesley Lyons (6-6, 185), the brother of OSU freshman WR Devon Lyons. Two players also attended from Pittsburgh Penn Hills: RB Ed Collington (5-11, 200) and J.R. Robinson (6-1, 282).

Washington C.H. (Ohio) Miami Trace junior QB Miles Schlichter also attended the game.

OSU men's basketball coach Thad Matta welcomed in one player for an official visit in Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton forward Brayden Bell. The 6-9 Bell is also looking at UCLA and Louisville.

West Chester Lakota West junior Josh Chichester, one of the state's top junior basketball prospects, also attended the game.
