David Lighty, a 6-5 small forward from Cleveland visited Ohio State this past weekend, and a quite outspoken Lighty held back few emotions in giving Bucknuts the report.
"It was real nice," Lighty said of his trip to Columbus. "I had a fun time."
An ecstatic Lighty, who is ranked as the third-best wing prospect in the country in 2006 by the Insiders Hoops, also found much enjoyment in the football game he got to watch.
"We finally got a win," a thrilled Lighty said of Ohio State's 30-7 victory over Indiana. "That was a big win for us."
Originally scheduled to get to Ohio State early in the morning, Lighty and some of his AAU teammates didn't get in to town until after 11:15 A.M.
Lighty was disappointed they didn't get to watch the Ohio State basketball practice, which was open to the public before the football game.
Having been able to visit Ohio State after a trip to Michigan just two weeks prior, Lighty compared his two visits.
"I would say they were pretty much the same, although I really liked this one," he said.
In recent weeks Lighty has made glowing remarks about Syracuse, even calling them a leader at one point.
He professes a great like for the Orangemen, and although that has not changed, he acknowledges that Syracuse, Michigan, and Ohio State seem to be on the upper echelon of schools he's interested in.
"I'd say they are all pretty even," Lighty added about the three schools. "They are all right there in the mix."
Lighty also said Florida, North Carolina, and Michigan State were a few other schools he was looking at right now.
At the moment, Lighty only has one more visit planned for this fall, and that will likely be to Ohio State in November for the annual showdown between the Buckeyes and Wolverines.
So the question remained—which team's colors would be wearing?
"Oh, definitely Ohio State," Lighty exclaimed. "That's easy."
