One of them is Columbus Brookhaven linebacker Alex Daniels, who helped Brookhaven advance with a 38-0 win over Pickerington Central in the Division II regional semifinals Friday night. Daniels has long held OSU and Oklahoma as his top two schools, but now is also mentioning Miami (Fla.) and Florida State.
The other player is Atlanta Booker T. Washington offensive lineman Duke Robinson, a massive 6-6, 330-pounder who has been offered by OSU.
"I got a letter from Ohio State when I was in the 11th grade offering me a scholarship," said Robinson. "I have not heard from much lately, but I am interested in Ohio State and I'm trying to see if I can get a visit with them. They put out the best offensive linemen."
Robinson is rated as the nation's No. 66 offensive lineman and as Georgia's 37th-best prospect overall by Scout.com.
Robinson also plans to make a visit to UCLA. He is also interested in Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Auburn, N.C. State and Clemson. All have offered.
Robinson told Bucknuts.com he has been clocked as fast as 4.9 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
"Coaches say I've got quick feet," Robinson said. "They say I make blocks look easy."
Robinson's Washington team was 10-1 heading into a Class 4A playoff game Friday night. He holds a 2.9 GPA and will take the SAT Dec. 4.
