Russell Starting To Set Up Visits

Anderson Russell of Marist High School in Atlanta, Georgia is a player that may decide to make the move up from the south to Ohio State. He still has to make his way through the recruiting process though, and right now he is beginning to set up his visits.

Defensive back Anderson Russell of Atlanta, Georgia recently took a trip to Ohio State to check out the game against Indiana. Since then, he has been hard to get in touch with since he has been sick, and his illness carried over into his most recent playoff game.

"Yeah, we got knocked out of the playoffs," Russell said. "I wasn't at my best."

Now that the playoffs are over, it's time for Russell to focus on recruiting. He has one official visit set up so far.

"Duke, December 3rd and 4th," Russell said. "I'm going to Furman on an unofficial this weekend."

Russell said that a final visit date for OSU has not quite been set yet.

"We were talking about setting one up for the second week in December," Russell said.

Russell verified that OSU has indeed offered and said he is getting recruited by Mel Tucker.

"I really like him," Russell said.

Right now, OSU is at the top of Russell's list. He talked a bit about what he liked when he came up to check out Ohio State.

"I really like the coaches," he said. "I really enjoyed the stadium and the atmosphere. I have never seen anything like that -- 105,000 people screaming."
