Four-star athlete Alex Daniels of Columbus Brookhaven was one of several prospects in the Horseshoe yesterday to check out OSU's win over Michigan. He was on an unofficial visit.
"It was crazy," Daniels said. "It was such a great atmosphere."
Daniels said the excitement in the stadium was better than what he has seen so far.
"I've been in Ohio Stadium a lot of times now, and the only thing that was close was last year when Chris Gamble made that interception against Purdue," he said. "That was close, but it still wasn't like Saturday."
Daniels did get to talk to some of Ohio's top prospects while at the Horseshoe.
Right now, Daniels is in no hurry to decide as he is focused on the season.
"As far as recruiting's concerned, it's still kind of taking a back seat," Daniels said. "I'm just enjoying this high school season. I've never been on a winner before."
Brookhaven is in the state semifinals in Division II, one win away from playing for the state championship. Daniels had a big game Friday as Brookhaven won big over Uniontown Lake.
"I had thirteen tackles at the half," Daniels said. "I think I ended up with about 20."
Daniels said that teammate Keith Massey had a great game, but Daniels did cause one of Massey's big plays to get called back.
"He had a punt return that I had a penalty on," Daniels said. "He took it back for a touchdown and it got called back."
There is one bit of recruiting news from Daniels -- he has a tentative official visit date set up to a new school on his list.
"I'm tentatively set up to see Minnesota on December 10th, 11th and 12th," he said.
