There were several solid offensive line prospects showing their stuff down at the national combine in San Antonio last weekend.

One of the best that I had the chance to see was Cody Faulkner. The 6-4, 308-pounder, from Arcadia (Ind.) Hamilton Heights was named all-state as a junior.

"I'm already hearing from a lot of schools," said Faulkner.

"I'm getting letters from most of the Big Ten schools as well as LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Notre Dame.

"Purdue invited me to attend one of their junior days. They invited me to check out a basketball game.

"My favorites are Ohio State, Alabama, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa and Florida. I'll be going to a lot of combines and camps this summer."

In fact, Faulkner made an unofficial visit to OSU for its game with Indiana last October.

Faulkner doesn't have a scholarship offer yet. He was in charge of protecting Wisconsin bound quarterback Dustin Sherer in 2004.

Cody is the son of former Florida Gators tight end Chris Faulkner. Chris Faulkner was a fourth round draft pick by Dallas. He played for the Cowboys, Chargers and the Rams.

Faulkner has an older brother that plays for Wabash College. He carries a 2.7 GPA in the classroom.
