Before the summertime, Lawrence Wilson was a player few had heard of. Since then, the defensive end from Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary has been on quite a roller coaster ride. After unexpectedly receiving offers from Ohio State and Notre Dame after outstanding camp workouts, Wilson made the decision during the season to attend Notre Dame. Things changed drastically, however, when Notre Dame head coach Tyrone Willingham was fired.
Wilson reopened his commitment, but he also opened another can of worms as both the regional and national media took interest in his situation. Wilson's recruitment was one of the most publicized recruiting tug-of-war battles in the state, and after weeks of agonizing over his decision, Wilson picked the Buckeyes on signing day.
Yesterday, Wilson met with the press at the North/South game introduction ceremony and discussed his recruitment in detail and why he chose OSU. We have Wilson's comments in this special two-part video interview.
