Ohio State began its football recruiting effort for 2006 in earnest Saturday by hosting more than 30 prospects for Junior Day.

The prospects began the day at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, where they were greeted by members of the OSU coaching staff and took a tour of the facility. They then went down the street to the Schottenstein Center to take in the men's basketball game between OSU and Michigan.

Perhaps the top name in attendance was Akron Garfield running back Chris Wells. The 6-3, 225-pound Wells is considered as the state's top prospect by Ohio High. He had just under 2,000 yards as a junior and has already said he is considering OSU, Michigan and Oklahoma.
