Homan Enjoys Junior Day

One of Ohio's top defensive prospects this year is Ross Homan of Coldwater. The linebacker was offered a scholarship a few days ago, and he recently stopped in at Ohio State for junior day. Duane Long caught up with Homan's parents for the latest.

There was some talk that linebacker Ross Homan of Coldwater, Ohio may have made a verbal commitment to Ohio State after recently receiving a scholarship offer. Homan's parents say that is not the case.

"No, he did not," they said. "He wants to sit and talk to his coach."

Homan, who is likely Ohio's top linebacker prospect for 2006, was in attendance at OSU junior day yesterday.

"Everything went very well up there," his father said. "They showed us where he fit in the depth chart."

Could a decision be coming soon from this fine prospect?

"I don't know how long he's going to think about it, but it looks really nice at Ohio State," they said. "It's a good situation for him."

Homan (6-1, 225, 4.6) will likely be one of the top 15 prospects in the state of Ohio this year. He plays both running back and linebacker for Coldwater and is an All-Ohio player.
