"Right now I have scholarship offers from Indiana, Purdue and Illinois," A.J. Edds said.

"My favorites are the three schools that have offered me a scholarship as well as Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida.

"I've been to a lot of junior days. I've hit Illinois, Notre Dame, Purdue, Michigan and Indiana. This weekend I'm going down to Tennessee."

Former Notre Dame coach Greg Mattison landed the Co-Defensive Coordinator job at Florida and he's going to have his chance to get Edds on the Gainsville campus.

"My family and I knew Coach Mattison when he was at Notre Dame and we have a lot of respect for him. During spring break in a few weeks, we're going down to visit Florida."

Spring is upon us and that means combines and camps. Edds said he'll be kept very busy during the summer months.

"I'm going to hit the Virginia Tech Nike Combine because the combine in Ann Arbor is the same weekend as my prom." Edds said.

"I'm also going to hit a lot of camps for a day but nothing is set in stone. I'll probably go to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue."

Edds plays middle linebacker in a 4-4 defensive scheme for Greenwood. He projects as an outside backer at the next level. Some schools could even look at Edds as a rush end to utilize his quickness.

As a junior, A.J. 139 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 4 interceptions. On the offensive side of the ball, Edds had 544 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns. A.J. is a definite "Midwest Hot 100" prospect.
