Gibson Is Ohio High No. 3, With Video Interview

As we move to No. 3 on our Ohio High Top 100 countdown, we come to the player Duane Long selected as the top defensive prospect in his spring top 100 -- Euclid linebacker Thaddeus Gibson. We had a chance to catch up with Thaddeus this past weekend at the Ohio High School Football Guide photo shoot and got a video interview for you to check out, which is also posted today with his profile. Over the past several weeks, we have unveiled Ohio High's top 105 football prospects for the Class of 2006. Today, we are up to the No. 3 spot on the list. Here is Duane Long's capsule on this prospect:

3. ***** Thaddeus Gibson     6-3     205     LB     Euclid

Gibson is a big-play outside linebacker. He had 17 sacks last year playing as a strongside linebacker. Gibson also shows outstanding speed. He claims a 4.38 40 at the LSU camp last year, but all I know is he is the fastest player on the field. He has the uncanny ability to find the ball and make plays.
Gibson has the kind of frame that brings speculation of a move to defensive end, but I don't see it. Ohio State has offered him as a Sam linebacker, and the other schools showing attention are all talking about linebacker, so I think we can end that speculation. Michigan, Ohio State, and LSU are among Gibson's offers, and he would also like to hear from Miami (Fla.)

We also have a video interview with Gibson, conducted recently at the recent photo shoot and ceremony for the Tremendous 26 for the Ohio High School Football Guide, which provides capsules for football teams all over the state.
