Bucknuts Radio Excerpts: Joel Pennington

The "ten-year war" between OSU and Michigan was one of the most intense periods of sports rivalries ever. Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes battled it out on the gridiron, and there was more at stake than just bragging rights. In the first installment of a new feature called Bucknuts Radio Excerpts, we have a segment from a recent Bucknuts Radio Hour featuring Joel Pennington, who wrote a book called "The Ten-Year War", which details this period in the OSU/UM rivalry. Today we have a new feature that we are giving a try here at Bucknuts -- excerpts from the Bucknuts Radio Hour. Each week, we air the Bucknuts Radio Hour on 16 radio stations across the state of Ohio as well an ad-free version online each Wednesday afternoon. We want to highlight various sections of each show so more people can take a listen, and this week is our first edition.

This week's segment is an interview with Joel Pennington, who will be releasing a book called "The Ten-Year War: Ten Classic Games Between Bo and Woody" which looks back at the Ohio State/Michigan football rivalry between 1969 and 1978. Pennington did a great deal of research for the book, and in this interview, he takes us back through the first few games in that ten-year period.
