Bucknuts TV: Brayden Bell & Sylvester Mayes

The Buckeye men's basketball team could be in for a strong season in 2005-06, but it will need a boost from this year's class of new players. Two of those players -- JUCO transfer Sylvester Mayes and Utah forward Brayden Bell -- could contribute for the team right away. Both were out on the floor in the McDonald's Summer League, and we have a video clip today of the two players in action. We also have a four minute video interview with Bell, who talked with reporters about his move to OSU.

All the basketball talk recently has been on the players OSU is bringing in for 2006, but what about this year? It turns out there are some players coming in this season that can help right away as well, including JUCO transfer Sylvester Mayes and power forward Brayden Bell out of Utah.

Both Mayes and Bell took part in the McDonald's Summer League, where area fans had the chance to get out and see them in action for the first time. Today, we have a look at both players in action, and you can get an idea of what to expect on the floor next year from each.

We also have an interview with Bell, in which he discusses topics such as the move from Utah to Columbus, getting on the court with his new teammates, and what he is doing to prepare for the season.
