The pre-game festivities for the primetime ABC telecast of the Ohio State vs. Texas game were exciting and electrifying. The day began with ESPN College Gameday and the atmosphere got better as the day went on. The team's walk from The Blackwell through St. John Arena to the stadium is just a part of the events that Gary Housteau captured in pictures.

ESPN Gameday was at in town with host Chris Fowler...

...Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit.

Analyst Desmond Howard, Ohio native and former Michigan Wolverine, incensed the large crowd in attendance by singing "Hail To The Victors" from the top of Ohio Stadium.

Herbstreit's twin boys were with him at prediction time.

That's Corso under the Brutus head.

Herbstreit mingled with fans after the morning segment was over.

These two young ladies were hoping that Herbstreit would sign this poster from his high school days at Centerville.

And he graciously obliged.

And he even posed for a photo with them while signing their jerseys.

The National Champion trophy was on display.

ESPN Raido was also on campus.

The tailgate lots were buzzing all day long.

The Bucknuts tailgate was a huge success.

Lots of food and drink for everyone.

It was complete with Bucknut girls...

Bucknut members...

And even celebrities like Colin Cowherd.

Then it was time for the Skull session and team led by Kirk Barton, Nick Mangold and Rob Sims led the team on the walk from the Blackwell Hotel to St. John Arena.

The areana was filled to the rafters and it was electrifying.

The players, like Troy Smith, soaked it all in.

Nate Salley first address the crowd.

Jim Tressel was next.

Then the team continued their walk to the stadium where the crowed was four and five deep on each side. Ashton Youboty and T.J. Downing are pictured here.

Recruits at the game got to experience the walk with the team. A.J. Wallace (center with hat) was on his official visit.

Connor Smith and Tyler Moeller were right there as well.

They each played a great game the night before beating the team from Tyler Texas at Crew Stadium.

And finally, Steve Helwagen was a pre-game radio guest of 1460 The Fan.
