Prospects Attend Big Ten Opener With Iowa

Ohio State welcomed at least two prospects for official visits for the Iowa game.

They were Florida linebacker Colin McCarthy and California wide receiver David Ausberry. We have confirmed that California linebacker Mark Johnson, who was also reportedly planning to visit, did not make it in this weekend.

Verbal commitments in attendance included Ross Homan, Kurt Coleman and Jake Ballard.

Other prospects at the game included:

Merrillville, Ind., defensive lineman Dexter Larimore, who just received an offer from the Buckeyes.

Elyria Catholic's Chase Morgan and Robert McFarland.

Xenia's Karl Finkes.

Seneca Valley's Donnie Barclay.

Clyde's Eric Schwartz.

Lakewood St. Edward's Nate Oliver and Joe Thomas. Thomas is a Pittsburgh verbal commitment.

Clayton Northmont junior QB Clay Belton.

Canton McKinley's Morgan Williams and Joe Morgan.

Akron Buchtel's Ted Jones.
