Bucknuts The Magazine: December Issue Preview

Ready for basketball season? Bucknuts The Magazine will be as we will be bringing you our basketball preview. Our December issue will be out Nov. 15. We'll have previews, profiles, and player bios, as well as the usual football coverage to go with it, and much more. Read on for a sneak peek at this issue of Bucknuts.

Hoops season is almost here! As the Buckeyes take the hardcourt, you can get to know this year's men's and women's teams in our yearly basketball preview issue. That issue, dated December 2005, will be out Nov. 15. If you want this issue to be included in a new subscription, you must order by October 15. Take a look at some of the articles you can expect (story lineup is tentative and subject to change):

Thad Matta

Men's, Women's Basketball Preview: The men are on the way up, while the women are already there and will be aiming to cut the nets down. Yes, Buckeye basketball is on the rise again, and we'll have a preview in this issue for both the men's and women's teams, along with player profiles and conference previews.     

Jim Karsatos

Iowa/OSU 1985 - 20 Years Later: The 1985 Iowa Hawkeyes came into the Horseshoe ranked No. 1 and undefeated, riding the arm of Heisman Trophy contender Chuck Long. They left empty-handed after the Buckeyes upset the Hawkeyes on a rain-soaked afternoon. Steve Helwagen looks back at this memorable upset.     

Eddie George
Eddie George Heisman Trophy - 10 Years Later: OSU legend Eddie George is out of football after a successful NFL career, but it seems like just yesterday that he brought the 1995 Heisman Trophy home to Columbus. Steve Helwagen writes about Eddie's Heisman win 10 years later.   

Quinn Pitcock

Player Features: Quinn Pitcock, Anthony Schlegel - Some say the OSU defense is the best in the nation. Two big reasons are junior defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock and senior middle linebacker Anthony Schlegel. Charles Babb has stories on each player in this issue. 

Josh Chichester

Chichester Coming To Town - One of the most unique athletes to commit to Ohio State football over the past few years is wide receiver Josh Chichester of West Chester (Oh.) Lakota West. Standing tall at 6-8, Chichester is rated as one of the top football and basketball prospects in his class and may be able to contribute in both sports at OSU. Gary Housteau will have Chichester's story in this issue.
