Houston (Texas) Eisenhower safety Mister Alexander did not have the type of senior season most football players dream of having. Not only did his team win only three games on the season, he only got a chance to play in three games as well.
"I played in three games this year," Alexander said. "I had a shoulder injury after the first game then I hyperextended my knee in the fourth."
Now that the season is behind him, Alexander is beginning to sort out his recruiting situation. He says he will not set up any visits until after the month of December, but he claims several offers to choose from.
"I have offers from Ohio State, Arizona St, Arkansas, Arizona, Washington State, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State," Alexander said. He also stated that Florida State has extended an offer as well.
In the past, Alexander has been quoted as saying he is not considering playing his college ball in the Big XII. Ohio State and Florida State seem to be the top two candidates on Alexander's list.
"Arkansas is the only visit I have taken," he said. "Florida State and Ohio State are at the top of my list."
Alexander said Ohio State's offer came just recently.
"Only one person has called me from Ohio State," Alexander said. "I spoke to someone last spring but I have not heard from anyone up there yet. My coach told me last week that they called and offered."
Alexander (6-3, 195, 4.65) is listed as a safety prospect but could play linebacker in college.
"I would rather play safety but I realize I could fill out into a linebacker," he said. "I was a wide receiver but I moved to just safety only."
Alexander is reportedly qualified academically.
