Bowman Back From Ohio State Visit

Iowa commitment WR/DB Anthony Bowman of Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary was a surprise visitor on the OSU campus this weekend. Was the visit enough to cause him to rethink his commitment? Bowman spoke a short time ago about his status.

Ohio State had a surprise visitor this weekend in RB/WR/DB Anthony Bowman of Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary. The fact that Bowman was previously a commitment to Iowa makes his appearance unexpected.

Bowman was unclear when asked about how firm his Iowa commitment is.

"Am I still committed to Iowa?" Bowman said. "I am thinking things over."

The Iowa staff will be talking with Bowman tomorrow.

"I meet with Iowa tomorrow," Bowman said. "I am not sure if they are coming here to my house or I am going to meet them at the school."

Ohio State had previously offered Bowman before his trip. What did Bowman think about his Ohio State visit?

"It was a pretty good visit," he said. "Really the players stood out to me. Really good guys. They are close. I can see a team that jells."

"Malcolm Jenkins was my host," he added.

Ohio State will be Bowman's last visit, and he will announce a final decision very soon.

"I am taking no other visits," he said. "I will have a decision before the week is out."

Bowman (5-11, 175, 4.4) is the No. 57 rated wide receiver prospect by Scout.com. He played running back, wide receiver and safety for St. Mary. Through ten games as a senior, Bowman had 764 yards and six touchdowns on 103 carries, caught nine receptions for 241 yards and four touchdowns, and returned four punts for 32 yards.
