Grant Now In Decision-Making Mode

Will it be Ohio State or Oregon for linebacker Larry Grant of CC of San Francisco? Grant enjoyed his trip to Oregon this weekend, but the Buckeyes are definitely in the middle of things. We spoke with him a short time ago for an update.

Five-star JUCO linebacker Larry Grant (6-2, 235) of CC of San Francisco is one of the last remaining uncommitted prospects on Ohio State's target list. Grant took his final official visit this weekend, this one to Oregon.

"I just now got back," Grant said. "In fact we just landed. It was a great visit. Incredible really."

Despite the success of the visit, Ohio State is still under strong consideration.

"No, it did not change my mind though," Grant said. "Ohio State was still my best visit."

Right now, it's either the Ducks or the Buckeyes for Larry Grant.

"It is Ohio State and Oregon," he said. "I am not considering Texas A&M."

Grant now plans to think things through before making a final choice.

"I want to sit down down with my brother and coach Rush and decide what is best
for me," Grant said. "I will have a decision on Tuesday."

Despite Grant's lofty star ranking, do not expect much hoopla when he makes his final choice public.

"I don't know about calling a press conference," he said. "I don't think I am that big time. I will just make my
decision."

Whichever school lands Grant will get him starting in the spring.

"I will arrive at whatever school I pick on April 1," Grant said.
