ONN to televise game



COLUMBUS – The Ohio News Network (ONN) will telecast the Grange Insurance Ohio All-Star Classic from Columbus Crew Stadium on Saturday, June 22, the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association and Crew Stadium officials announced today. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. 

The 57th Ohio All-Star Classic will feature 68 of the best high-school football players in the state, including thirteen that will play for Ohio State in 2002 and 24 that have accepted scholarships to play in the Big Ten Conference. OSU recruits who will participate include quarterback Justin Zwick (Massillon Washington), linebackers Bobby Carpenter (Lancaster) and Mike Kudla (Medina Highland), Roy Hall (Lyndhurst Brush) and defensive end Quinn Pitcock (Piqua). 

"We are excited that this year's Grange Insurance Ohio All-Star Classic will be televised live on the Ohio News Network," said Steve Gilbert, president of the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association and head coach at Tiffin Columbian. "This partnership will bring unprecedented visibility to the Ohio All-Star Classic and its sponsors and enable us to reach our goal of making this game the best all-star football game in the country." 

ONN is Ohio's 24-hour news, weather and sports channel. It is available in cable homes across Ohio.
