QB/DB Mitchell Evans of West Milton (Oh.) Milton-Union has caught the attention of many of the region's top programs. Scouts have called him one of the state's best, and it won't be long until he hits the recruiting trail.
"I have a number of schools telling me they want to get me on campus and take a look," Evans said. "Ohio State, West Virginia, Stanford, Boston College, Wisconsin, Pitt, and Ball State are the schools sending the most mail."
Evans plans on getting out to multiple camps this year.
"The only place I camped last year was Michigan," he said. "This year I will camp at Ohio State for sure. I will take in other senior one day camps."
Evans (6-3, 195) has an ability to hurt an opposing defense with his arm and his legs.
"What I bring to the table is I am a dual threat player," Evans said. "I can hurt a defense with my arm or my feet. I do a good job when I break the pocket."
Evans put up strong numbers on both sides of the ball last season.
"I threw for 1,920 yards and 20 touchdowns," he said. "I ran for another five touchdowns. I had five interceptions on defense (as a safety)."
As good of a quarterback as Evans is, he is open to playing defense in college.
"I prefer offense but if a school I really like wants me for defense I will take a hard look at it," he said.
Evans also plays basketball and baseball for Milton-Union. Below is a link to some highlight video of Evans.
