Who will be the next great offensive line prospect in Ohio? You might have to look to future recruiting classes to find him, but he's there.
Junior Mike Adams of Dublin Coffman is already one of the state's most impressive prospects. Adams is expected to be a prospect on the level of Ohio State lineman Alex Boone, who was rated as an All-American and one of the best linemen in the country.
Adams is already a big player and is getting even bigger.
"I have gotten a little bigger," he said. "I am 6-8 now and about 305. I had a good offseason in the weightroom. I can tell it already in two-a-days."
Adams, who will play on both the offensive and defensive lines this season, says he has not given recruiting much thought but has his eye on the hometown college.
"I have not gotten too worked up about recruiting yet. It is very early. Ohio State has always been my favorite," he said.
As a matter of fact, OSU has been the only school Adams has visited.
"The only camp I went to was Ohio State," he said. "It was a really good camp. I learned some things there. I have not received any offers but I have not been anywhere but Ohio State."
We have some video clips in action from his sophomore season. Adams plays tackle for Coffman and wears No. 75. These clips are not a highlight package; they are portions of game film.
