The left-handed Belton (6-6, 226, Sr.) broke the thumb on his throwing hand the week before the Wayne game and is expected to be out three to six weeks in all.
Zebrie Sanders - Left tackle - Jr.
At 6-6 and 269 pounds, Sanders is one of the best offensive line prospects in Ohio right now.
Northmont captains (L to R): Belton, Brad Herr and Luke Hurst.
Evege up the middle...
...and when he plows into the defender...
...the ball comes free.
Stephen Curtis, Ryan Bitsko and Evege.
Joe Gilford ran the ball 10 times for 83 yards...
...and caught four passes for 43 yards.
Troy Gilmer (6-1, 195, Jr.) breaks loose for a 48-yard highlight touchdown run on this play to put Wayne up 7-0 in the second quarter on this play.
Gilmer, who plays multiple positions on offense and also plays defense, is someone to keep an eye on for next year...
...and so is this kid. Defensive tackle Jerrell Worthy (6-2, 260, Jr.) is a solid player on the Warriors defensive line.
The quarterback, Ryan Bitsko (6-2, 180), is just a sophomore.
Bitsko was 9 of 14 passing for 97 yards and one 17-yard touchdown.
And Bitsko ran it 10 times for 81 yards.
Stephen Curtis (5-9, 175, Jr.) ran for a 3-yard touchdown.
Erique Geiger (5-10, 180) - Linebacker - Soph.
(L to R): Quarterback John Nussman (5-10, 145, Jr.) and running back A.J. Combest (6-0, 178, Sr.).
John Nussman fills in under center until Belton returns.
Kevin Ringer (5-9, 198, Soph.) gets the carry on this play.
The spread obviously wasn't as effective as it would have been with Belton running it.
Nate Wilburn-Olgetree (6-2, 183, Jr.) is one of Belton's top weapons out wide.
And so is Daren Youngberg (6-0, 184, Jr.).
C.J. Barnett (6-0, 171, Soph) is a defensive back to keep an eye on.
