Hi Kirk!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:46:18 PM)
Hello!

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:46:33 PM)
I'm hearing lots of good things about the Bucks!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:46:34 PM)
Dave just logged on too so we will be able to start

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:46:58 PM)
There does seem to be more positivity surrounding this team than in previous years.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:47:15 PM)
Hi D Biddle :)

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:47:21 PM)
Hi Kirk!

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:47:36 PM)
Chemistry is a word I've heard, a lot

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:47:46 PM)
Chemistry seems good

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:47:56 PM)
Dave how is the overall attitude right now?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:48:10 PM)
Hi Buckeyes02!

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:48:16 PM)
hey guys

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:48:32 PM)
just woke up here...

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:48:37 PM)
really good. even guys like Wilhelm who have been "demoted" are focusing on what they can do for the team.

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:48:54 PM)
hows the weather in columbus today

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:49:01 PM)
Just heard wilhelm on spielman on sports, his attitude sounded great

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 12:49:20 PM)
I haven't heard much about Ryan Cook. How has he looked?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:49:35 PM)
Tyson Walter was the victim of some hazing recently... the Cowboys vets shaved his eyebrows off

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:49:42 PM)
ha!

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:49:52 PM)
Ryan Cook is working with the twos. He looks bigger than last year, but is pretty slow

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:01 PM)
hows the weather in columbus today?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:11 PM)
the weather is very good. 82 and sunny

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:15 PM)
nice

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:30 PM)
The weather has been about perfect the past couple of days

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:42 PM)
What about Cook's classmate, Adam Olds?

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:43 PM)
dave, how has the intensity been in practice?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:50:50 PM)
olds is looking good

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:51:13 PM)
intensity was good yesterday... it's always easier to tell when they're hitting

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:51:21 PM)
right

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:51:31 PM)
the scrimmage tomorrow will be big

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:51:33 PM)
Are the good things we're hearing about CK at QB warranted?

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:52:02 PM)
i see

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:52:09 PM)
yeah, i think so. craig knows his role this year

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:52:39 PM)
Is Zwick looking like #2 right now?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:52:51 PM)
no, mcmullen is still clearly the No. 2

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:52:55 PM)
It sounds like the O has had some success against the D in practice. Is that a cause for concern?

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:53:24 PM)
dave, whats the deal with our receivers? they are so talented? any new updates on santonio holmes and roy hall? will they both redshrt and which of the two have impressed at WR? also, how has troy smith looked at that spot?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:53:31 PM)
if you run 80 plays, you are going to have some success. I'm glad the offense isn't getting dominated like during spring

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:53:57 PM)
Is the diff the geling of the O line?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:54:20 PM)
I would like to see both frosh WRs get redshirted... if one plays it will be roy hall. his size is as good as advertised

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:54:42 PM)
what are hall'

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:54:54 PM)
what are hall's chances of playing

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:55:15 PM)
Roy Hall? I would say there's about a 40 percent chance he won't be redshirted

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 12:55:33 PM)
I've been reading good things about Maurice Hall. How does he look, compared to Clarett and Ross?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:56:13 PM)
Mo Hall looks outstanding. He is the odds on favorite to be the starter right now. I look for him and Clarett to share the carries this year (but where does that leave lydell?)

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:56:21 PM)
Dave, what would you say is the reason that the D isn't dominating like they were in the spring?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:56:55 PM)
Let's be clear about this: The D-Line still looks great. Hopefully it's because the offense has improved

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:07 PM)
phew!

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:08 PM)
when do coaches decide who redshirts and who doesn't?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:20 PM)
Dave, I saw another reporter who covers OSU who says Hall does not have it in him to be a 20-carry-per-game type back. Would you agree with that?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:25 PM)
good question... that can even be decided mid-season

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:35 PM)
oh wow

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:49 PM)
so guys can play a bit but then get redshirted?

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:51 PM)
Who has impressed you at CB so far?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:53 PM)
If a freshman does not play in game one or two, it's a pretty good indication that he might not play this year.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:57:58 PM)
Kirk: I don't think Hall will get 20 per game just because we have so many good backs... but he could do it if he had to

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:58:15 PM)
So while techinically, we won't find out who redshirts right away, you can pretty much tell early on I think.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:58:20 PM)
Minnesota: Chris Conwell

buckeyes02 (ID=22) (Aug 8, 2002 12:58:23 PM)
i see i see

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 12:58:33 PM)
how about d fox?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:58:46 PM)
nick goings played the first game against rice in '96 and still redshirted

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:59:15 PM)
If Jacobs, Britton and McNutt aren't doing the job, I would be more concerned about CB than I thought

CarlosSnow (ID=24) (Aug 8, 2002 12:59:24 PM)
How about the incoming db's? How have they looked? Is there any chance M Roberts will see the field this year?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:59:26 PM)
BigBucks: Dustin Fox is looking solid. I love his athletic ability... I'll be watching him closely on Saturday

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 12:59:56 PM)
Carlos: I don't think Mike Roberts will play this year. Definite redshirt candidate

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 12:59:58 PM)
Did Nick get hurt that year? You can still get redshirted if you get hurt. If you don't get hurt, I think all it takes to use up eligibility is appearing in a game

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:00:17 PM)
you are correct... nick did get hurt

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:00:23 PM)
What are your thoughts on the four frosh linebackers?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:00:34 PM)
Salley has supposedly been impressive. That's a nice surprise... I heard from folks in FL that he had great ability but was raw and might not be able to help right away

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:00:58 PM)
I think D'Andrea will play a lot this year (four LB rotation) and Carpenter will see some time off the bench

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:01:21 PM)
Salley is HUGE out there as a corner... that's the thing that stands out about him

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:01:35 PM)
Will Jason Caldwell ever see the field (he's a fellow Mentor High alum)?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:02:02 PM)
Minnesota: I don't think so. He's behind Hartsock, Hamby and maybe Coleman now

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 1:02:07 PM)
On SoS, M Wilhelm said that CK is doing a great job of looking off the primary receiver and head faking. What are the chances that this will translate to points in games?

CarlosSnow (ID=24) (Aug 8, 2002 1:02:17 PM)
Do you think Hawk and White will play on special teams this year?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:02:39 PM)
I recall Caldwell being fifth on the depth chart after the spring... behind Hartsock, Hamby, Arden, and a walk-on... it didn't look good for him.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:02:48 PM)
BigBucks: Krenzel is using more headfakes and that will only help him... I think Wilhelm said that is a sign of a "veteran" QB

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:03:34 PM)
I think Hawk will play on special teams this year, but White will be redshirted. Maybe Hawk will be redshirted too.

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:03:37 PM)
I've seen some reports that seem to indicate that Kudla is undersized at DE. What do you think? Will he be a tweener?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:04:04 PM)
Yes, Kudla is undersized for a DE... But hopefully his 530-pound bench press makes up for that

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:04:32 PM)
What do you think of Richardson and Penton?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:05:14 PM)
Kudla had his critics coming out of Highland... I heard some whispers that he was too stiff. I hope that is not the case; Duane was very high on him. But so far, I've heard concerns about him being stiff

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:05:23 PM)
Dave- Do you think Zwicks arm looks like the weakest of the bunch?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:05:34 PM)
Minnesota: They both look really good. Richardson looks the most impressive of all the frosh D-Linemen right now and the "Minister of Defense" is also looking good.

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:05:55 PM)
Jay R. really flies to the ball

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:05:57 PM)
No, I don't think Zwick's arm is weaker than Krenzel's

CarlosSnow (ID=24) (Aug 8, 2002 1:06:05 PM)
Dave, with the logjam at RB, do think the QB play will largely determine who gets the bulk of the carries.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:06:54 PM)
No matter who the QB is, we can expect a rotation at running back... If I had to guess, I'd say Clarett will lead the team in total carries

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:07:05 PM)
Which players(s) do you think has improved the most from last season?

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 1:07:14 PM)
Hi Rice

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:07:16 PM)
How did the freshmen LB look yesterday with the full pads on. I am going today at 3

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:07:17 PM)
Chris Conwell and Mike Stafford

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:07:37 PM)
D'Andrea and Carpenter look great. They look like seniors out there

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:08:15 PM)
And Hawk? His motor was flying the first few days

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:08:44 PM)
I think they want to redshirt two of the frosh LBs and play two... we'll see how it turns out

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:08:48 PM)
Who is Step's backup at center? I read where Bollman is a little concerned about finding a backup at that position.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:08:57 PM)
Tyree is the backup right now

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:08:59 PM)
How's the attitudes of the freshmen? Anyone intimidated out there? Anyone struggling, or are they all focused?

RiceBuck (ID=27) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:05 PM)
hello, from Houston

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:05 PM)
Olds can also play center

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:23 PM)
Mangold can also I believe

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:30 PM)
i'm sure there are some jitters from the freshmen, but they aren't letting on

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:33 PM)
Last year there were times when it looked like a great QB would have burned us, but we faced very few. Will we get torched by Kingsbury and Gesser, or will we have improved enough to contain them?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:09:42 PM)
yes, mangold is a center, but will probably redshirt

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:10:06 PM)
Big Bucks--- This is my biggest concern

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:10:12 PM)
I think the pressure from our D-Line is going to prevent a lot of deep balls. The QBs won't have time

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:10:20 PM)
How does Marcus Green look? How much will he play, and how do he and Quinn compare?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:10:54 PM)
I had high hopes for Marcus Green, but he has been dead last in all the post-practice sprints... he looks really out of shape

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:11:00 PM)
DO you think there is anyway we are ever going to be able to get Bam on the field?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:11:17 PM)
Quinn is looking good, shorter than I thought, but very strong and quick

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:11:59 PM)
Bam will see the field this year, but right now you would have to think he's the No. 5 receiver... but he brings something to the table that the other four don't

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:12:04 PM)
That's too bad to hear about Green. He's really hurting himself there.

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:12:15 PM)
Any truth to Gamble having academic difficulties?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:12:23 PM)
hopefully not

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:12:25 PM)
I have been to 2 practices and Quinn is short but he is a load. Quick and very strong.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:12:40 PM)
Dave, how concerned should we be about Adrien Clarke? There are whispers he has lost interest in the whole shebang

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:17 PM)
Kirk: very concerned... Tressel did not hide his frustration yesterday when asked about Clarke

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:22 PM)
How does the overall physical condition of the team compare to the last 3 years?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:40 PM)
But someone did make a good point... Bentley also missed proactice time last year with a sore back and he turned out OK

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:46 PM)
I think Clarke better get himself together and healthy because I thought both Sims and Olds look very capable.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:48 PM)
So then the Mike Stafford era could begin at guard this year

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:13:52 PM)
Any news on Burgess, Whitner, or Hiley?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:14:11 PM)
Mike Stafford will play a lot this year. Either as a starter, or the "sixth man."

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:14:19 PM)
Gamble looked like he spent a lot of time with the weights in a photo I saw of him. Ripped.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:14:47 PM)
JohnnyBuckeye... not much new on Burgess and Whitner, but in Duane's article today, he has some disappointing news on Hiley. Here's what he wrote: "Took the summer off. He did not attend camps and didn’t go to summer school. His grades were better spring quarter, but he still needs work. He needed to either work on grades this summer or his football skills and did neither."

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:15:07 PM)
Dave, After watching a couple of practices, I have felt that both Sims and Datish can contribute this year. What do you think?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:15:51 PM)
I agree with you spbuck. they look like the top two frosh linemen in camp and I've said before we'll need at least two of those guys to play

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:16:26 PM)
and it sounds like derek morris will be here soon

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:16:40 PM)
Do you think Hamby is going to be on the filed more than Hartsock? He made a great catch on Monday. He looks like he has fantastic hands.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:16:52 PM)
The Clarke situation will be interesting. It isn't often someone decides they don't want to play anymore, if that is indeed what is going on

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:16:58 PM)
What do you think of Olds? He looks the part and I thought he looked better yesterday that he did Saturday.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:05 PM)
i don't think hamby will play more than hartsock, but he definitely has good hands

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:26 PM)
Any chance that a d-lineman will move to the offensive line, especially with the struggles of Clarke, Cook? What about Shaffer moving over?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:30 PM)
Hartsock has an edge in the blocking dept

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:32 PM)
Do you expect anything out of Caldwell?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:41 PM)
olds is much bigger than last year... he was the top O-lineman in the state two years ago so this kid could turn out to be a solid player

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:17:52 PM)
I think Harsock is definitely our best TE so far. Hamby does have potential.

BigBucks (ID=18) (Aug 8, 2002 1:18:40 PM)
Is the offense showing more different formation (trips etc.) than last year?

HangOnSloopy (ID=32) (Aug 8, 2002 1:18:49 PM)
I saw that recruiting update on Mario Williams. I had never even heard his name mentioned with the Bucks before. Good to see.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:08 PM)
BigBucks: Yes! They are showing more single-back, three-receiver sets... you've got to like that

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:17 PM)
I never have either. That was indeed interesting.

HangOnSloopy (ID=32) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:38 PM)
Has anyone mentioned that Lydell aggravated his injury in practice this morning?

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:44 PM)
Do you predict any transfers (Hall, RIley, caldwell,etc...)?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:53 PM)
Two reasons for the single-back sets... 1. great wide receivers 2. very little depth at fullback

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:19:56 PM)
The update said he was a soft verbal to NC State, but you can't count out OSU's chances if he's going to visit

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:20:00 PM)
Shaffer looks to me to have the prototype body for an ot. With the depth on the DL and our potential recruits, he sure looks like someone who they could move to OT.What do you think Dave?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:20:56 PM)
hard to tell about schafer. I like guys who can play on either side of the ball, but they want to keep him on defense right now... coleman is another guy who can play on both sides

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:21:05 PM)
Is Kline working at FB? I haven't heard his name mentioned this fall.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:21:22 PM)
kline is working at TB and FB, but he always seems to be banged up

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:21:56 PM)
I think Losing Brandon Joe was a significant blow. That leaves us with only 1 impressive looking FB.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:22:19 PM)
Johnny: just saw your question... I think we will see some transfers after the season. just hopefully not many

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:22:36 PM)
Dave, what have you thought so far aof Krenzel

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:23:23 PM)
Is Nate Stead out of the picture due to grades? He played quite a bit in 2000.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:23:31 PM)
spbuck: he has looked solid. his accuracy has been inconsistent, but overall he looks confident and I think he'll get the job done this year

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:23:44 PM)
Hi Doss

HangOnSloopy (ID=32) (Aug 8, 2002 1:23:48 PM)
Any word on JaJa's condition today?

Doss4Prez (ID=37) (Aug 8, 2002 1:23:50 PM)
whats up fellas

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:20 PM)
I've been reading great reports on Nugent. What do you think Dave, sp?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:21 PM)
no new updates on ja ja

CarlosSnow (ID=34) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:26 PM)
There's been a lot of talk about how good Troy Smith has looked. Has he seen any increase in the # of reps' he's getting at QB?. Is there any chance he won't be redshirted?

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:27 PM)
I like what I've seen of him also. It was nice to see him step up in the pocket against a heavy rush yesterday and deliver the td pass to Gamble.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:34 PM)
nugent has more of a "boom" to his kicks this year

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:39 PM)
I expect Roy Hall and Santonio Holmes to definitely be redshirted. Would you agree?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:42 PM)
no let's just hope he's accuratre

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:51 PM)
O-Zone just posted that Ross will be out at least a week with injury too

RiceBuck (ID=27) (Aug 8, 2002 1:24:57 PM)
Dave, Tressel has had very little to say, besides simple 1 or 2 word answers, over the last week concerning the Derek Morris situation. Has anyone else 'in-the-know' and/or coaches, media, etc. discussed the situation more in-depth as of late?

Doss4Prez (ID=37) (Aug 8, 2002 1:25:25 PM)
Are you guys buying all the hype about Mo Hall??

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:25:33 PM)
I think Nugent as been outstanding from what i have seen. He just needs to carry that over to the shoe on saturdays.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:25:42 PM)
our practice report from yesterday sheds some light on the morris situation... Tressel said he does expect Morris to join the team at some point this year

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:26:41 PM)
Dave, you mentioned that Green finishes last in the sprints at the end of practices. Who wins those things?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:27:04 PM)
Maurice Hall

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:26:51 PM)
Carlos: I think Troy will definitely be redshirted, but he could be the man here in a few years

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:27:10 PM)
The man as in QB?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:27:28 PM)
Yes, QB... Smith doesn't seem like he could be a D-I receiver to me

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:27:29 PM)
Our receiving corps are definitely the deepest talent pool on the team. I think Holmes, Hall, and especially Smith(when playing receiver) look good, but I think they all redshirt.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:05 PM)
Kirk or Dave...do either of you guys know anything about this "road grader"?

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:05 PM)
It is starting to look like Mo Hall will start the TT game

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:06 PM)
D-Line depth is just as good IMO... Backups are Fraser, Thompson, Green and one of the freshmen

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:32 PM)
With injuries, etc.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:36 PM)
Hall just sounds like a guy you want to have on the team. Works hard on and off the field. Mike Nugent told us that if someone last year wanted to stay in bed and didn't feel like going to class, Hall would get them out of bed and make them go

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:28:37 PM)
Did anyone stick around and watch the LB's do their chin ups and dips after practice on Monday. MD'Andrea's strength and conditioning was incredible. He would just do chin ups and not even go into a hanging position. It was pretty impressive!

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:07 PM)
If Mo Hall is really 5-10, 200 lbs and wins the sprints, we should get 10-15 touches per game.

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:14 PM)
Is conditioning/weight a problem for anyone besides Green?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:19 PM)
Ah, the mysterious road grader... I have been meaning to ask Duane about that.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:23 PM)
It was good to hear Tressel praise Darrion Scott yesterday

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:28 PM)
I will see if I can find out.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:45 PM)
Do you think Tressel will try any 2 or 3 TB formations, and possibly try to bring any of them out to the slot to mix things up??

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:49 PM)
Thanks

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:29:52 PM)
Minnesota: No, he is the only one who has stood out to me

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:30:09 PM)
Darrion Scott looked unstopable yesterday. Looked like the best DL next to Smith. Anderson right there also.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:30:21 PM)
When we were trying to get him in for a chat, his dad said Mike was working out 5 hours a day

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:30:30 PM)
I think we need to have as many of our TBs and WRs as we can on the field at once....

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:30:36 PM)
Wow

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:30:48 PM)
I was extremely happy to hear that about Scott. He told me in May that he "wasn't close to where he wanted to be" in regards to his shoulder

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:31:11 PM)
Kirk - but how much of the workout time is spent flexing for others?? :-)

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:31:13 PM)
We are certainly stacked on the DL.

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:31:41 PM)
Dave, what do you think of the CB's?

JohnnyBuckeye (ID=23) (Aug 8, 2002 1:32:20 PM)
I am very active in the bodybuilding scene. The muscles can handle that amount of lifting time, but the problem happens with the ligaments and tendons. I have always been concerned when I read those types of reports.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:32:26 PM)
I saw that legendary workout tape Mike sent to all the schools... some of the things he does just hurts to watch!

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:00 PM)
Do you think he will eventualy be ahead of Pagac?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:05 PM)
still pessimistic, but not as much as before... Conwell looked great yesterday and Fox will be solid. We need at least one of the following to step up: McNutt, Jacobs and Britton. They all have the potential to help this year... let's remember that Britton played a true frosh

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:17 PM)
How does Cie look? His time at CB should really be a plus against TT and other teams.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:22 PM)
Mike did have a personal trainer so hopefully he had some expert advice there that kept it safe

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:30 PM)
Hello all!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:41 PM)
Hi Hoosier

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:47 PM)
Yeah, Britton does seem to have a lot of potential

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:57 PM)
Why hasnt he been as effective as expected?

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:58 PM)
Glad to be back!

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:33:59 PM)
Cie's "experiement" at corner will definitely help in nickel and dime situations

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:34:18 PM)
Dave, I have thought Underwood has looked good and will contribute this year. What is your opinion?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:34:26 PM)
Britton was hurt last year (groin)

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:34:48 PM)
I think Underwood will redshirt (minority opinion)

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:34:53 PM)
Is he back to 100%?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:35:06 PM)
Yes, Bobby said he is back at full strength

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:35:19 PM)
How does Reynolds look? Is he a solid starter? I read that he lost some speed between freshman and sophomore years. How quick is he?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:35:36 PM)
Reynolds looks great, hasn't lost any speed IMO

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:35:49 PM)
Reynolds is going to have a huge year

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:35:59 PM)
Reynolds certainly passes the look test.

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:36:04 PM)
What do you guys think of the idea of a passer/runner as holder for kicks? Someone like Troy or Bam?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:36:06 PM)
coop?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:36:32 PM)
groom is the holder, and he is a former HS QB

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:36:44 PM)
Speaking of Coop, who's the first guy off the bus on this team?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:36:51 PM)
Ivan Douglas

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:37:27 PM)
Do you think Clarke will be back for the TT game?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:37:27 PM)
Dave, what are your thoughts on Tyler Everett and Brandon Mitchell? Redshirt or play?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:37:38 PM)
I think they'll both redshirt

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:37:57 PM)
Doss: Yes, Clarke will be back (no pun intended)

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:37:59 PM)
So you think all the DBs and all the WRs will redshirt this year??

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:03 PM)
hah

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:17 PM)
I don't think Salley will redshirt

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:32 PM)
ah yes, forgot about him

ateam106 (ID=43) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:37 PM)
On another site I read that Gamble has some academic problems. Is there any truth to that?

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:46 PM)
Do you think Salley is ahead of Underwood at CB?

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:47 PM)
is he looking really good...or is that just a lack of depth thing?

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:57 PM)
I would think Groom could get hurt at holder, how well does he run? We could possibly spare a Bam or other runner/passer

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:38:57 PM)
Underwood probably won't either, I'm just going out on a limb there. He needs to get bigger and I'd like to have 5 years of him

boron (ID=44) (Aug 8, 2002 1:39:11 PM)
Do you know how many tickets TxTech will send back?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:39:37 PM)
I think Salley looks great. He would be a good guy to have out there against big WRs

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:39:41 PM)
Underwood definitely has a slight build compared to Salley. Salley is an impressive looking athlete.

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:39:59 PM)
Who will the captains be? Wilhelm, Doss...

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:40:06 PM)
Dave, you said Conwell was looking really good....you think he is a definite starter then?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:40:07 PM)
Krenzel, Vance

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:40:24 PM)
not a definite starter, but he's lining up that way right now

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:02 PM)
Is Will Smith a god, or what? Wonder how he'll do against TT's incredibly wide line splits? Have you seen those splits?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:03 PM)
Conwell and Stafford are the surprises of camp so far

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:05 PM)
Is he a talented athlete?

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:29 PM)
Or more smart and fundamental...

ateam106 (ID=43) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:32 PM)
Dave who has stood out the most on offense and defense so far in practice?

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:36 PM)
Will Smith is a bonafide stud. He looks unstoppable at practice.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:41:42 PM)
We need a huge year out of Will and I think he'll deliver. He has such a great "burst" from the 3-point stance

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:42:18 PM)
If Will doesn't have a big year, he might have to move in with his auntie and uncle in Bel Air

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:42:25 PM)
ateam: offense, Mo Hall... defense, Will Smith

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:42:45 PM)
I thought you didn't like those jokes Kirk

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:42:45 PM)
Darrion Scott isn't too far behind. He can be physically dominating out there.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:43:09 PM)
I heard Will rapping about "Summertime" yesterday

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:43:33 PM)
Will the Kliff Kingsbury-Brittany Spears stuff be bulletin board material? Can't wait for our d-line to clobber that guy.

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:25 PM)
I can't imagine there will be too many better DL"s than ours.

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:31 PM)
Dave, has Kudla shown anything yet?

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:33 PM)
Minnesota Buck: please elaborate on KK and Brittany. Thanks

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:48 PM)
toledo: not really. mike seems to be a little behind right now

RiceBuck (ID=27) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:50 PM)
what is the story behind the kk and spears stuff?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:44:50 PM)
I think Oklahoma and Miami will be the only D-lines that might wind up better, and it probably won't be by much if any

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:22 PM)
What do you mean behind?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:26 PM)
matt sylvester out 12 weeks, back surgery

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:42 PM)
Tough time adjusting to full time DE?

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:47 PM)
There was a story in the Lubbock paper about how KK is a huge Brittany fan, he was upfront at one of her concerts, met her after the show, and she autographed a photo: "Kliff, make room for the Heisman."

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:48 PM)
Doss: he's missed a few days of practice with nagging injuries

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:49 PM)
The best thing about our line is they are also so young and deep. Pitcock could go get significant playing time for a lot of other teams.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:45:51 PM)
Kliff supposedly has a Britney Spears poster on the wall and wears a Britney Spears T-Shirt under his uniform or something

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:46:26 PM)
It's one thing to think Britney is hot... it's another to act like a 12 year old

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:46:38 PM)
Dave, do you think Stan White will stay at LB for his career at OSU?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:46:52 PM)
No, I don't. I think he'll be a TE

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:47:09 PM)
I don't think Stan White would be big enough for TE.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:47:11 PM)
And it's another thing altogether to be both, like me :D

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:47:21 PM)
Really....is that because of the depth, or do you think he is better suited for TE?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:47:48 PM)
Doss: Just a guess.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:48:43 PM)
Well everyone, Dave has got to get going in a couple of minutes.. any last questions? I will stick around for a few to keep chatting

Minnesota Buckeye (ID=17) (Aug 8, 2002 1:48:49 PM)
Dave, sp: I really appreciate your daily practice reports. I love the opinion and the details.

azbuckeye (ID=41) (Aug 8, 2002 1:48:50 PM)
Dave, where do you think Troy Smith will end up??

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:49:03 PM)
thanks minnesota!

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:49:13 PM)
Kirk, has anyone committed since Lukens? Or any about to commit?

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:49:16 PM)
Dave, before you go, who are your top 2 impact frosh?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:49:25 PM)
az: I think Troy will stay at QB... I love his arm

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:49:51 PM)
toledo: D'Andrea and Clarett (does he count?) if not, Datish

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:04 PM)
Minnesota, I am certainly a novice but it is enjoyable to see how opinions differ from each of us at practice. Thanks.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:07 PM)
Do you see another QB controversy brewing in the future with troy and justin?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:12 PM)
Devin Jordan was the last commitment. Brady Quinn is probably about to commit to ND. If Duane is right and OSU has backed off Todd Boeckman, it could be a while before we see a commitment. IF not, Todd could be next

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:46 PM)
Louis Irizarry also committed after Lukens

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:49 PM)
Doss: I think we need to look at it as a healthy competition

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:50:57 PM)
Kirk Thanks.

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:51:01 PM)
my2 impact frosh are Clarrett and Sims.

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:51:05 PM)
Thanks Kirk!

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:51:21 PM)
True....

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:51:45 PM)
just hate when guys cant get in a rythm on the field because theyre going in and out

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:51:48 PM)
I predict Clarrett starts by game 4.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:04 PM)
I will have to stick with Hall as my starter

spbuck (ID=28) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:07 PM)
Thanks for the chat. Go Bucks.

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:09 PM)
Hall and Clarett will both play a lot

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:22 PM)
How about both of them at once?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:26 PM)
He was my pick before practice started, but things are seeming to fall in his favor so far

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:52:37 PM)
Yes, we are seeing more split tailback sets

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:53:37 PM)
Hey! I say we can't forget Jaja. I know he is possibly out for a while, but hes a load too.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:53:55 PM)
Thanks a lot Dave, you guys keep me alive until the season starts.

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:53:58 PM)
Dave, is just for practice or will it continue during the season?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:53:59 PM)
JaJa could make it interesting

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:54:10 PM)
I'll be voting for you No. 2

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:54:32 PM)
Thank you for your reports Dave. I NEED them!

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:54:37 PM)
toledo: I'll be keeping you guys updated thoughout the season

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:54:37 PM)
haha, i appreciate it

RossfordBuck (ID=36) (Aug 8, 2002 1:54:46 PM)
Thanks for the chat guys!

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:55:04 PM)
good to hear it Hoosier!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:55:43 PM)
Any recruiting questions anyone might have?

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:55:46 PM)
Thank you again also Kirk! Y'all are fantastic!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:13 PM)
You're welcome!

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:15 PM)
What do you think about the kid that is transferring to play for his father?

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:17 PM)
Thanks guys... I think I'm going to grab some lunch now... Anyone doing anything two weeks from Saturday?

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:20 PM)
Kirk, any word on Widner?

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:41 PM)
I heard theres a football game....

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:45 PM)
Hopefully we'll be watching the Bucks kick butt

D Biddle (ID=19) (Aug 8, 2002 1:56:59 PM)
talk to you all later!

Duh! Whats two wks. fr Sat?!!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:57:14 PM)
Doss, I saw the posts about him being kicked off the team... I don't know much about that, but Duane said he was a great kid. Duane said on the radio he thinks it will come down to OSU and VT

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:57:28 PM)
Bye Dave! Thanks again!!!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:57:40 PM)

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:57:53 PM)

toledobuck (ID=35) (Aug 8, 2002 1:58:21 PM)
yea sorry

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 1:59:01 PM)
Kirk! Didnt your email say something about more chat?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 1:59:27 PM)
Duane thinks OSU has the best shot, but just listening to Donte makes me feel UM very much has a shot. He's not ready to decide yet, but I think UM is going to be OSU's stiffest competition. He'll visit other schools as well, but I think the Wolverines are in on him enough to worry.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 1:59:42 PM)
Kirk, how much chance do you give us with Brady Quinn?

bucknut10 (ID=48) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:21 PM)
Did ND ever offer Quinn??

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:23 PM)
I went to the same school as him, and work with a couple of his friends....they seemed extremely certain that it was either ND or scUM

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:28 PM)
Doss, less than 10%. Everything right now is pointing towards ND even though Duane says today in his update that UM m ight have a better shot than people think

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:34 PM)
ND did offer him

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:52 PM)
Yeah...He's a good kid, disappointing to hear.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:00:54 PM)
I've never wanted a player to not go to UM more than Quinn

bucknut10 (ID=48) (Aug 8, 2002 2:01:09 PM)
We'll take That Boekman kid from St. Henry

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:01:28 PM)
I've been over to his house a few times...his parents are real enthusiastic

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:01:53 PM)
His dad wakes up every morning and makes him eggs just to make sure he gets enough protein every day

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:02:44 PM)
Boeckman is a great kid too. I applaud him for sticking with the Buckeyes throughout all this

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:02:59 PM)
Do you think Boekman has kinda hit the wall as far as potential?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:04:06 PM)
I don't think so... he has some good raw tools. He's a quality prospect. The guess is he's not Quinn, but if OSU took Boeckman, I don't think it would be a waste

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:04:24 PM)
I don't know if that's a nice way of putting it, but I think he'd be a good addition.

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:04:42 PM)
You think White would be a better get?

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:05:21 PM)
Everyone says White is better than Boeckman, so I'm going to have to say White.

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 2:06:28 PM)
If I were choosing btwn White and Boeckman all things being = talentwise, it would be who wants to be a Buckeye the most.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:06:43 PM)
Recruiting news and tidbits seem few and far between right now... there are lots of recruits that are going to be deciding later in the year it seems

bucknut10 (ID=48) (Aug 8, 2002 2:07:18 PM)
Kirk, I wanted to ask, what was the deal with the article today regarding Wilhelm being demoted???

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:07:22 PM)
Do you think our chances of landing all of the kins from Urseline will improve since Irizarry committed?

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:07:32 PM)
kids, not kins...

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:07:52 PM)
bucknut10, that's a good question. I was surprised as anyone when I saw the headline. I must say I don't know what is going on there

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:08:30 PM)
Graves likely isn't coming, but I think the chances with the big-time juniors Delbert Ferguson and Daryl Clark are decent, and the chances may be very good with Ferguson

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 2:08:36 PM)
Try hard to find out and post it please Kirk.

bucknut10 (ID=48) (Aug 8, 2002 2:08:47 PM)
I didn't even think Pug was gonna be 2nd team. I figured D'Andrea would take that spot

HangOnSloopy (ID=32) (Aug 8, 2002 2:08:55 PM)
Well, I have to go to a meeting. Have a good day guys. Thanks for the chat.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:09:17 PM)
bucknut10, I felt the same. Bye Sloopy!

Doss4Prez (ID=40) (Aug 8, 2002 2:10:01 PM)
I'm out of here too...gotta go to work, thanks Kirk and everyone

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 2:10:09 PM)
Kirk: concerning Wilhelm that is.

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:10:26 PM)
Hoosier Buck, I'm sure someone will have something on it soon... we'll see what we can find out

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:10:36 PM)
Bye Doss4Prez!

Hoosier Buck (ID=42) (Aug 8, 2002 2:10:49 PM)
TY!

Kirk L. (ID=21) (Aug 8, 2002 2:11:47 PM)
