This weekend's OSU-Michigan game will attract some of the nation's best recruits. One of them is Top 100 five-star receiver Deonte Thompson of Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida.
"Yes, I will up there," he said. "It will be an official visit."
"I hear great things about Ohio State," Thompson said. "Albert Dukes is up there now, and of course Santonio Holmes. That is how I got interested in Ohio State."
Thompson is known for his blazing speed as he has been clocked at 4.28 in the 40 and 10.38 in the 100, has played on both sides of the ball but is being looked at primarily for receiver.
"I play receiver and a little bit of defense," he said. "Everyone is recruiting me for offense though. Nobody is talking about defense."
Thompson has three schools selected to visit and has not decided on the other two.
"I have been to LSU. I am set up to go to USC as well as Ohio State," Thompson said. "I have not set the last two visits. I am pretty sure I am taking all five."
Thompson talked about when he is going to make a decision.
"I am not sure about when I will verbal," Thompson said. "It will likely be in January, if not signing day. All that I am unsure of."
Thompson is also considering Florida, Florida State, Miami, and South Carolina. He is a U.S. Army All-American selection and the No. 5 receiver in the country as rated by Scout.com.
